    Hi!

Brutal Doom has reached version 21, public beta status but quite finished.

It's super fun and as bloody good as ever, check it out (March beta):

(don't mind the Patreon link, you needn't donate anything to download)

also has Sgt MarkIV's map pack Extermination Day, formerly known as Hell on Earth Starter Pack, that's a completely new campaign for Doom 2.

New beta (April) up for grabs from ModDB:

Yeah it's Doom the way it's meant to be played :D

Latest version is even more impressive + GZDooms renderer adds to it.
Vanilla Doom feels like a slideshow with water pistols after BD!

Doom 2016 is really great, it returns to good old fast paced shooting aka old Doom.
Combat is even faster than BD's and just as violent.

Doom 2016 has clearly taken a page or two from Brutal Doom's book as well and pretty much acknowledges it too.
The very beginning has the narrator say 'you will rip and tear, until it is done'.

Rip and tear being a nod towards Brutal Doom most likely.

So if you haven't played new Doom by all means do.
Base game contains all the DLC even nowadays, though it's all MP related stuff.

The SP campaign alone is worth full price anyway, imo.

Lol what's he done to the icon of sin? I don't mind new levels to play around in but I'm not interested in tanks and nihilanthification of the final level :p

Ugh, I'm playing or replaying Plutonia levels with BD21 and just did the secret levels… just insane :D

by far the most annoying enemy in videogaming history is the Arch-Vile… frack!
