Randy announced today at PAX that Furious 4 is no longer a Brothers in Arms game. They are dropping the BiA title and making F4 it's own IP. The official re-announcement of the game will take place at Gearbox's Community Day later this month.
Never played Brothers in Arms (it's on my waiting-to-be-played Steam list), but this video looked pretty cool taken on its own merit. There's a lot of sour grapes I think.
This game is nothing like the previous BiA games. Absolutely nothing. Making it a BiA game was an incredibly stupid move. Changing that now is probably the best thing Gearbox can do for the game.
Doesnt sound to bad if it turns out this way. However why use Brothers in Arms franchise for this?! Call if something else! Nevermind didnt read 2 post above
Yes, the game will be officially reannounced under it's new title on Sep 15th at Gearbox's Community Day. Randy has also hinted that they will be making a statement on the future of the Brothers in Arms series as well. It's basically the release party of Borderlands 2. But, Aliens: Colonial Marines will be playable. With info on upcoming projects... and possibly even a few words on Gearbox's new Duke Nukem game.
