    1 gtx260 uses around 230 Watts.

2 of them your PSU could run it....if u didnt have anything else..

But since u have a whole PC thers no way i would run a GTX295 on a 550W

I meant that the purchases of the new cards are actually helping the economy out. Why do you guys have to make it sound so negative?

Your wording made it sound as if buying graphics cards was detrimental to Japans economy lol

No. I think people should be spending their tax rebate money!

On a new video card to get the extra 5-10 fps which probably goes outdated in 6 months is probably the dumbest idea though.

I've been to Tokyo several times for business, although an interesting town, their views on outsiders is quite right with the previous poster. It's a hoot to walk around that town as an American. Funny how a Japanese firm hired me for network consulting. Go figure!

I did see some pretty girls there tho *grin*

Where do you sell all those cards and for what price?

I don't think it's a good idea a new card now.Nvidia is releasing 40nm DX11 ready cards in Q4 2009.Why is everybody buying cards now?
    I'm still with my 8800 GTS 512's and I'm happy.....for now .

Yeah. You see many people from the IT field working here. They had a somewhat of a late IT boom here but I think those days are over. So are the English teachers and the financials.

People always say that about the girls. I guess the grass is always greener...

Yeah, there are quite a few actually and I don't mind the scene. Being a foreigner does work in your favor also.

I sell them here on the "For Sale" forum, however I don't have any left. Normally they are 20%-30% off retail price.

However I'll move to the 40nm when they come out to test those :)
