The 2700X seems to be running with only a 2400MHz memory strap, while the 2600X has the mem at 3200MHz ..

Oh my that's a mighty increase in performance for what is basically just a refresh on a smaller node. Could we see 4.5Ghz with a bit of a tweak and some memory close to 4000Mhz??? I can only see AMD CPUs standing proud next to Intel CPUs. Well done to the folks at AMD!

In the first paragraph 'Ryzen 7 2600X and Ryzen 5 2700X' i think youve accidentally swapped the positions of Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 :)

very nice results on the 6 core i really thought they would go beyond 3200mhz memory speeds though

You'd think somebody who magically gets their hands on an unreleased CPU would also have memory that's not from the bottom of the barrel, even with these current memory prices. At least the person with the 2600X had more reasonable RAM at their disposal.

A benchmark by some random person whose whole point may have had nothing to do with memory or etc. really doesn't say what Zen+ will do with memory. A proper review would do that.

People should stop calling Zen+ die shrink already.

    Zen is fab on 14nm
    Zen+ is fab on 12nm

Looks like a die shrink to me.
    Yes, with some optimizations.
I'm waiting for what AMD is doing to do about GPU, because I really want to buy something new without inflated price on it.

Nothing special. 8600k and 8700k are faster considering single core performance plus less cores/threads respectively than their counterparts. Only better than Ryzen. Just a half reason more to go red. Still the best move is being blue, like being graphically green than red.

AMD still needs support from their fan-base and poor peasants or console lovers. The PC master race cannot be changed.

The TDP has very little to do with what something is overclocking. For instance, an 1800x @4.1Ghz OC on all cores is by no means even remotely a 95 watt CPU.

What are you in? The House of Intel? You literally sound like you're in a cult.

@Aura89 I just await the moment that whoever can go green/blue, chooses confidently red team for everything. Sure AMD is improved more than ever before at least in CPU dept. but is not enough to motivate a large portion of willing customers.

The need of giving more to catch the less is not always something worthy or interesting to sell yourself to.

since years memory controllers are´nt on Chipsets, they are on CPU, and Rightnow RYZEN supports up to 3600MHz RAM with higher memory bandwidth per clock than Intel (even on less core clock processors)

I can buy TR 1950X tomorrow. I just do not have use for it. I am waiting for x470 + 2700X and I have use for 32GB of RAM, that's on shopping list. So I can as well buy something like i9-7900X. But I have no use for that.

And that means I can go quite blue and green, yet I intend to buy Red. And I am confident, because it is simple math.
DX12/Vulkan support 6+ threads for loading GPU, then there are threads for engine and other things. And want to be able to have Firefox running in background while gaming again. (Because now, I simply turn it off for gaming as it eats almost 2 cores of my Sandy i5.)

Again, the entire way you're talking is as though you're in some sort of cult.

"The need of giving more to catch the less"?

And people choose confidently to go red team for everything all the time, but regardless, what does that matter?

Why should AMD be held up only by if someone buys both their CPUs and GPUs?

I buy AMD CPUs, i would never buy an Intel CPU because the company itself is a horrid company, same reason i would never buy an Apple product.

And i buy Nvidia, because i like G-Sync. Quite frankly, i might even go to AMD GPUs at some point potentially if i get rid of my g-sync monitor and get a free-sync one.

You don't hold Intel up to people being "full" intel, Intel CPU and GPU, because they don't have a GPU (as of yet), when or if they do, will you then? Or will you start looking down on Intel, because people who buy Intel CPUs might still want an Nvidia or AMD GPU?

You don't hold Nvidia up to people being "full" nvidia, Nvidia GPU and CPU, because they don't have a CPU (due to x86 licensing issues).

So why AMD? Where is the logic in that?

I'm sorry that my Ryzen processor is much higher in performance then any Intel processor for the same price?

This is the type of nonsense that ends up happening in AMD threads, random people coming in asserting their "Intel Dominance", making up lies, stating untruths, and for what? Why are you people here? What is your purpose of typing your illogical statements?

Quite frankly i have no idea why you're even replying to THAT portion of my post, when what i quoted YOU on had nothing to do with "the house of Intel", or can you not follow a conversation?

I hope they fixed memory support, but we don´t know yet, i just saying that 3.00--3.95GHz clocked RYZENs with 2933MHz RAMs has higher bandwith than +4GHz Core i5/i7 with 3200MHz RAMs, on Intel, bandwith does´nt affects real world performance, but on AMD affects IPC
