Right, one of the girls it is then!
Will Gaige be added to the game?
Sadness level increased.
Steam preload is up and 50 % sale until the 20th so you can buy it for around 30 USD / EUR.
While waiting for the game to unlock:
- as it happens 436.30 was the GRD for BL3, which I'm still using.
Anyone see any gains from using newer drivers or is some other version the best in general?
- does DX12 still take minutes to load on startup?
- has performance overall improved since launch with updates?
If it is your first time loading up DX12, it will take a bit. Each time after that it is much quicker. Personally do not see much, if any difference visually between DX11 and 12 with BL3. Have not played it in over 3 months now...so not sure if any improvements have come about since Moxxi's Heist was released.
I haven't played BL3 for a while, so these results might be outdated. I did try DX12 and DX11 and found it to be a mixed bag.
On most levels, DX11 came on top with a difference in performance of about 20%. But I found at least 2 situations where DX12 was faster by a around 30%.
This was on Rownlands nest and on Eden-6, where Clay is at, looking out in the distance.
Overall I think that DX11 offers the best performance on most of the game.
Got around to playing this last night and initial impression is positive.
Gunplay is satisfying and you do start getting loot quickly, also the character perks / stats seem deep enough.
Also kind of refreshing to play a game that's not too serious toned.
Runs good with a mix of Ultra and High, except Volumetric Fog at Medium.
1080p and getting a near locked 115 fps so far (Droughts).
Control is smooth and responsive, no stutters. DX12 mode.
Amara playthrough started.
I actually unlocked Phase Slam to begin with to have an AoE attack and because I use Slam a lot in Rage 2, heh.
One complaint I do have is vehicle controls with kb / m.
You steer with the mouse but can't with the kb? Seriously Randy, that's not badass at all...
out of curiosity what resolution did you play at?
From what little I read over at Gearbox forums many seemed to get a perf. boost from DX12 at 1080p (as it removes the single-threaded bottleneck of DX11).
Higher resolutions were mixed bag or perhaps slightly better with DX11 (where GPU becomes limiting factor).
Played at 1080p. Settings maxed out, except with motion blur disabled and volumetric fog at medium.
Mind you, that I did this test a month ago and lots of patches have been released since.
Hey can someone more versed in this game clarify:
is Corrosive damage more efficient against Armor and Shock is effective against Shield? Or vice versa? Or neither?
EDIT: lols, I think I found the funniest review summary (translated from Finnish):
"Borderlands 3 is a shapeless entertainment turd that sits on top of an endless loot mountain laughing at its own poop jokes"
(I don't think it's very descriptive of, or fair to, the game, but find it funny regardless)
You’re correct, corrosive > armour and shock > shield.
You tipped about farming for a legendary in Droughts, did you mean the Night Hawkin SMG?
Your post says Nighhaking
Yes, it's Night Hawkin SMG. I misspelled.
Got it! It's gooood!
I like Dahl SMGs anyway, used an Epic one from lvl 4 up to lvl 12.
Incidentally all 3 of my equipped guns are now Legendaries, also dropped a Dueling Monocle and Marcus had a legendary rifle that's basically a ridiculously OP shotgun for sale at Sanctuary, forgot the name but it was insane, up close with ADS around 1.7K Crit damage.
My regular shotgun does around 170 crit damage for reference (lvl 13).
Try to farm Gigaming and Graveward, to find these weapons:
Hellshock, Krakatoa, Lob, Hyperfocus XZ41.
You will not be disapointed by these
About farming, how does one replay missions?
Can you reactivate them from Completed log or?
Also anyone got the new DLC and is it good?
I understood first Moxxxi DLC was good so if this is too I'll perhaps grab the season pass.
I finished the second DLC, it's starting a bit slow and different from the rest of the game, but it picks quickly and you get amazing weapons and good quests.
Overall it's a great DLC just like the first one, though i prefer the settings of Moxxi as i like futurstic stuff more
BTW, gonna do the DLC again with Amara today.
All right, sounds good, I'll likely grab the season pass when it's on sale as there's plenty left to do in base game.
Still I'd like to know how you can replay missions?
Completed missions disappear from map.
Eg. Gigamind is the boss of Hostile Takeover so I'd need to replay that.
Or can you only replay missions after completing the story once?
