Borderlands 2 in 2012

Just saw this so-called love letter on another site and got excited until I read the list,

Remappable Key Bindings for Keyboard / Mouse,
Integrated V-Sync Option,
Support for Higher Resolutions,

Are just a few of the "extras" that made me laugh. These are considered extras now on pc are they ?
Still I guess we just should be grateful that they remember people still play on pc's unlike some other game developers.

 

By "fully remappable key bindings" they are talking about how people weren't able to map controls to certain keys in the first game.
Lots of PC games have this issues. Were you can remap and bind keys, but there are certain ones you can't.

But it's funny, Gearbox give people some things to be happy about (FOV slider, ability to turn off mouse accel and improved matchmaking)... and people still find a way to complain about it.

 

Go Gearbox! I'm not going to complain about them, in fact I've toyed with the idea of applying to work there.... too doggone hot in Dallas.

I played the first one but just couldn't get into it, I just didn't see the point in it all. It seemed like a very soulless basic FPS game with no plot and great cartoon graphics ?

what did i miss, i did play co-op but there wasn't too many people online ever and people seemed to drop out too easy and no play properly.

@phill1978, the first one was meant to be played with close friends IMO. Alone or with random people it was boring. With friends on mumble/TS/ventrilo/whatever, it was awesome.

 

The game was/is great with 3 0r 4 friends on headsets.... wonderfully addictive co-op.... single player was ok, but not something to put 100+ hrs into just by yourself.

 

Dont play Borderlands expecting a good story or anything, although they say Borderlands 2 may have alittle better story.

It is just pure shooter heaven....that is what it is.

You may have to love shooters, maybe even mindless shooters...but if you do...Borderlands is really a blast.

Interesting video. That split screen co-op will be a definite plus.

 

Hoping its not a console only feature though, think many dev's think PC gamers have no real friends.

Good news about them spending alot of time on the PC version with the many small, but important features.
