To suggest there are races or cultures who love death more than their children is basically as racist a sentiment as you can come by. You can find all sorts of demented behavior in individuals everywhere, but to ascribe it to whole races or cultures is Hitlerian in essence. Golda Meirs quotes about her enemies is of course an unbiased, non-self-serving opinion on her part? And yes, there are just as dastardly quotes about the Jews on the other side.

How ironic that Muslims and Jews through the centuries were much closer in relations than they were with the Christians. The Jews sought and received haven in Arab/Muslim lands during the inquisition and felt far more secure with them than in with the Christians in the middle ages. It was only in the last century over Palestine that their relations came to a boil.

TBH I did not think this was going to happen if there were any tunnels left intact, maybe they got em all? But I read they were several days away from that.

 

Hamas will do what it usually does and fire rockets into Israel and the Israelis will retaliate.

They felt more secure because they were both in the same situation, Spain was rebuilt with the help of the Christian church and everyone else had to be kicked out. But now they are fighting to get a place, for me, at the end, everything is okay as long as they keep Jerusalem safe from muslims (who are the only ones which right now behave like in the medieval times), XXI crusaders :nerd:

 

It's nice that everyone has an opinion, and we can disagree peacefully. In the US so many don't know the history because the mainstream news and educational system have told a very one-sided story for years. Now, I may need a tinfoil hat, but I think I heard that many of the people that control mainstream media and educational textbooks in the US are some of the same people who believe God gave them a right to the land in question - but that's a whole other issue.

What nation exists that isn't the result of a "land grab"? England is a land grab by the Normans from the Saxons. Canada is a land grab by the French from the various natives. Mexico is land grab by the Spaniards of the various natives. If you grab land, buy land, conquest land, it's yours. That's how it's always been and how it will always be.

I'm not sure any of you knew, but already Richard III. Lionheart, once great king of the cruisades, forbid jewish people to work in any job other than banking and executioning business, if I recall correctly (no traditional craft). So they went for banking, became rich, and envy amongst others rose.

And after the war, nobody wanted the jews in their country... and they wouldn't want to stay where they barely survived, like Russia, and to my regret, Austria and Germany. They wouldn't want to stay in Great Brittain, and they weren't exactly "welcome" there too. So the state of Israel was ideologically born.

Again, the most part of the fault, as my humble opinion is, is every other's, the US, Brittain, Germany, Austria, Russia... every major power in the last 2500 years, except the Israelis and Palestinians.
