Blade Runner, Aliens & I am Legend in CryENGINE 2

There is no doubt in my mind that CryEngine 2 is the best game engine on the planet!!!
Shortly to be followed with what is sure to be even greater ... CryEngine 3.

 

Those are amazing renders, I set the first one as my wallpaper. I would like to see a new Blade Runner game too, not a point and click like the first game. I think it would lend itself well to being a shooter.

A shooter that makes good use of the futuristic weaponry in the movie, and focuses a good part of the game on melee combat like Riddick. There were many good brawls in the movie... and I think combined with destructible environments and a strong narrative it would be amazing.

Kind of like a FPS/RPG hyrid similar to Mass Effect (which was influenced by Blade Runner after all)...

Noeees they had to use COD4 graphics engine , it so good , much better than Crysis.. and runs sooo faster so you can put more details on

 

lol...apparently you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about eh? COD4 engine has nothing on CryEngine 2, it doesn't even have DX10...COD4 engine looks nice, but is no where near the detail of CryEngine 2, it has "virtually" no Physics (cmon, tables and many paint cans just sit there, wtf)

Please, don't spew out stuff you know nothing about just because you're so attached to your beloved COD4

Yay for noobs, reminds me of the good ol' times when people tried to tell me that their Pentium 4 @ 2.8Ghz was better then an Athlon at 2.4Ghz, just because it had more Mhz it "had" to be faster and that was the only logical way of thinking....please people if you have no idea what you're talking about, don't talk!

I've always liked the Cryengine These guys have done some awesome work. If only we could take a team of say "50" of these guys, give them 2 years and see what they come up with

I dont see any rain drops, and the ground texture could be better...
I mean the top half of both screenies look good, but then the 2nd half is like a half ass job.

 

When I see stuff like this I would wish they would re-make the blade runner game over using this engine
