I'm running into a strange thing happening. After about 30-45 min of playing, the game locks up and goes into a not responding status and I have to end the task. I took a look at my GPU temp right after the freeze and it was at 58c. Doesn't seem terribly high. But also could it be my PSU? The minimum PSU was 450w and I have a 500w.

    Is it only Black Ops?

If yes, it's the game that is a very bad port.

Open task manager and then performance monitor, leave it on while you play and see if the CPU goes through the roof.

I think I figured out it was an overheating issue. I took the cover off my case and played it for an hour, no prob. I have a smaller case which airflow isn't as good if it was a full tower. Plus my GPU didn't get near as hot after done playing.

Could well be a heating problem, maybe installing another fan may help the airflow of your case.
