With a GTX670: MSAAx4 + TRSSAAx4 + AO Off = 160fps (670 @ 915mhz) MSAAx4 + TRSSAAx4 + AO High Quality = 100fps (670 @ 1200mhz) The card thinks 160fps is more than enough and disables the turbo
You might want to right click on it in Steam and create a desktop shortcut after all that. Is Death Rally any good by the way?
Lol, coz most of my games are non steam. I don't bother adding my games to steam... Other games include Alan Wake, Alien VS Predator 2010, Battlefield 2 Bad Company, Battlefield 3, Bioshock 2, COD Black Ops, C & C The First Decade, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2, Grid, Max Payne 3, Metro 2033, GTA IV, Skyrim, etc... Most games I buy & install, only use steam if there's a special offer or if needed. In my case I got HL Orange box for about $15 or so... Death Rally was just $10. So don't worry, my GTX 580's are working hard. Yeah, making a shortcut will make life a lot easier! As for Death Rally, it's ok, I'd give it 7/10. It's better than the previous in ways. There are more weapons, more tracks, better graphics, etc... Only thing it takes a while to get used to the handling, it's way different to the old one. It's easy to skid/slide all over and losing a race is easy if you mess up... For $10 it's worth it...
Cheers, I like those sort of combat driving games, you must check out Gas Guzzlers if you haven't already it's brilliant. Unfort tho I've finished that so a new one would be cool.
Thought the same. I would have to put my monitor in Portrait Mode to get all my games on the screen :nerd: But then I can't remember the last time I bought a physical copy either...
Oooo, show off lol. I buy most games physically, digital is a waste of money in the UK, but lets move on from that, and the list of games above that need Steam no matter where you get them:3eyes: Grabbed this via the torrent, not fast, but not too slow at 3mb/s, but i did leave it until things calmed down. Looking fantastic so far, after all this time i never thought i would be saying great job to these guys, but they do deserve it.
looking great , i already put my first 2 hours on the game , need a break , grab some pizza and a 12 pack , this is going to be an all night early morning many hours game escapade for me LOL , im enjoying it too much... Now back to the game !
Just had a driver stopped responding crash when playing the game and recording using fraps. Using the new 9.00 AMD drivers. Going to test game again without recording and see if crash happens again.
I remember getting very frustrated at how badly Half Life 2 stuttered at launch, and I remember a number of patches attempting to fix it, but I don't recall anything fixing it.
Not had any more crashes as of yet, not using fraps to record and its smooth as silk. Although I do get a little stutter here and there, and the loading sections still piss me off lol they are only about 20 seconds max some are like 1 second lol. I remember playing original HL when it first came out and having the loading take about 30seconds to a minute on my crappy PC back then. All in all I am seriously enjoying revisiting Black Mesa! Also here is a quick easter egg I found... LMFAO!!! Chuckle Brother FTW!!
Runs smooth, no stuttering. Then again I have HPET disabled in my bios to stop stuttering in Darksiders 2 so maybe that has something to do with it. Game looks great and the sounds are loud and crystal clear. Sure brings back memories as you go through the game.
Beat it in 7 hours, and think they should have just included Xen, They changed alot to make speedruns impossible lol
