Anyone having odd fps issues in fullscreen and when downsampled? I get around 80-98fps in most areas at my monitors native res(2048x1152) with windowed borderless and a solid 98-99% gpu usage with VRAM around 1300-1400MB. But if I run fullscreen native or try downsampling from 1440p I get 50% gpu usage and fps locked at 28fps. I'm also running timer resolution tweak in background.
Going to run the benchmark utility in a minute and see what actual performance is.

Some optimization issues, for example the FPS dips down to 40s when you look specific doors.
Other than that and some stutter here and there, no problem..
The game runs above 100FPS most of the time.

is the dir. but also make no difference aka. not helping with drops!
Actually the original value of poolsize as i can see is ''400'' and i don't think it can help things up if you change it.
Unreal Engine 3 always stutters..
I hope Unreal Engine 4 does not suffer from the same issues.

Funny, I've always found UE3 to run really smoothly on my setup and have never noticed any stuttering except when it was an issue with the drivers, i.e. the first few months after Kepler was launched but that affected every game not just UE3 ones. It is a relatively undemanding engine by PC standards these days, at least in its DX9 variant, so there's absolutely no reason it shouldn't run smoothly on all but the lowest spec PC.
The DX11 version seems to have issues though as anyone who has played Batman: Arkham City will know (it launched with its DX11 mode essentially broken). I'm personally not that keen on Unreal Engine as I think it is dated even with its DX11 enhancements, mainly due to the texture streaming issues and poor anti-aliasing support in most of its games. I would hope that UE4 will fix most of those issues though and it helps that both the next-gen consoles will have 8 GB of memory.
Any other trick to try to reduce the fps drops while enter new areas ?

Wow, that is such a staggering difference. The top screenshot has that ugly blurry overdone console bloom effect whereas the bottom one retains the sharpness to the extent that in comparison it's like I've put on a pair of glasses!
I know which one I'll be using!

That's normal for downsampling. And unfortunately, those options don't work for some reason. Borderlands 2 actually let you scale the UI in-game, and wasn't affected by downsampling. Strange....
I'm downsampling from 3840x1620. Imagine how small it is for me
Hint: It's this small.
But be careful, you can't downsample in good conditions with this activated. I don't exactly know why, i guess it has something to do with the definition and how it renders the scene, but everything is going to **** with 2160p and this.
There is something wrong in these pictures, because in my game the difference between the two PP modes is almost nil.

What is this alternate PP ? somthing like Enb for skyrim ? Sorry to ask.
P.s. My impressions on the game so far! The game is way to easy ! I mean you make money like hell the girl also gives you money and ammo ! So basicly all you have to do is click on the mouse. I feal sad that until now I haven't meet any security camera or that you can't hack the vending machines or the lock ! Always her !
alternate mode seem to lose some details along with that bloom.
It's a different method for the depth-of-field effect the game uses which requires direct X 11 though I do not know technical details, better focus with less overall background blur from what I've noticed.
is it a program or i activate it in the video options ? As right now I am playing on my laptop ! I will see my pc in the weekend when I get home !
