also having your page file set too small can cause stuttering

mate with 5970 had stuttering until he increase page file to over 8GB

now I basically get rid off the problem, it's simple, just set the texture to high instead of Ultra setting, and I also found that after playing one map with high texture, then reset the texture quality to Ultra, it seems normal again with a little of stutters.

so after several update from EA and dice, my 1GB video ram is not enough for the Ultra texture? But with crossfire turn off, it seems one 5870 is good enough to run smooth (fps 5x-7x) with Ultra texture setting, so weird.

btw, thanks for those guys who remind me of the texture setting.

yeah, when I open the resource monitor, I saw the superfetch service doing hdd
read and write with totally 100MB/s, I turn off superfetch service, then I saw a process called system do the same job. :nerd:

with Ultra texture setting, MSI afterburn show the total vram usage is 197x-198xMB, never beyond 2000MB, with high texture setting, the number is 18xxMB.
