Best processor for Starcraft 2 in the $250.00 range?

    I have no preference for AMD or Intel but I know SC2 has run better on Intel systems in the past. What do you think? Probably no overclocking.

    Anything ivy/sandy bridge will get a good 120 fps anyway on SC2.

    Even a G3258 but well not overclocked.

    SC2 only uses two cores, so the Pentium G3528 on up will be your best bet. I'd personally recommend a 4690K, but you really can't go wrong. The game plays badly on AMD processors.

    That's just single player too. In MP 4v4, where it really counts, the 8320/8350 will struggle to attain even 30fps at times.

    Any i5 would be enough for SC2, especially overclocked.
