Hi so I have an Asus z370-a ii motherboard and a 9600K, plus Hyperx Predator DDR4 4000MHz Best I can get is the RAM to 3800MHz and the CPU struggles to get to 5GHz stable. Definitely feel my mobo, which is not designed for OCing, is holding me back a bit. I want the RAM at the MHz it was made for, and the CPU reliably up to 5GHz (I've got a Kraken X72 so cooling is no issue). Can someone recommend a good mobo at £100-£300 to get what I want? Thank you.
You lot were fantastic, thank you! Ended up with msi z390 gaming edge ac which gave me my 4Ghz. Not as sure about the 9600K OC though.
