Go with this list, then pick the one that suites your hand ergonomically. A mice shape that suites one person may not suite you, but the core function that's measurable will be the same for everyone. Except for the Razer products because of quality issues... I had 2 razer products that just couldn't even handle stress from couple months of regular use. Very fragile and poor quality just to give you heads up (may have fixed it but I won't risk it).
I've been using the Logitech G5 for quite some time now. I would love to buy one of those newer mouse, but i don't see a reason why i should, the G5 is just perfect !
I've opened them up alot and all I can say is they're pretty fine except the scrollwheels. I've had every Deathadder its scrollwheel break on me after about a year of use. Everything else was still working fine though. On the other hand in terms of raw performance it's simply the best sensor on the market and Razer made it so only they can use it with a contract. Zowie AM, G400, ... they come pretty close though.
I have it and I love it. Insane accuracy in FPS games. Only complain I have from it is the lack of additional buttons for MMOs, but I can live without them.
Probably why I got so pissed off at the issue with acceleration on the new laser mice. So accurate and nice to use, but it's useless to me if it doesn't have consistent movement for flick shots in FPS games.
I love my Xai, it has a very understated look (looks cheap/feels great) which i really like (same as my Meka keyboard) and the price was right (under £20 when i got it), but alas i wish i could get another Razer Diamondback plasma. I had my DB Plasma since the day they got released until about 2 months ago, that was easily the best mouse i have ever had and i miss it (/cries) - everything just felt right with it. I tried loads of the new razer mice to try and get the same feel/handling but nothing came close.
To me the G9 feels perfect. Can't describe the feeling, but when it comes to accuracy, it is like an extension of my hands and eye sight. Even in Windows, I always land exactly where I want to. It's probably not the best mouse for MMOs, but it's the best mouse for everything else IMHO. For me personally, it's a better MMO mouse than the Naga even, which I also own. that mouse has so many really annoying things going. I bought the Naga to play GW2 and after spending about 40 hours playing GW2 betas with it and then using in for every day use for 4 weeks, I went back to the G9. It just is better and it has 9 useable buttons for games. To me it's perfect and my next mouse will be the G9x or whatever the next upgrade will be. I've had the G9 for almost 3 years now and it's as good as new btw, built quality is great. I just can't fault it. It's perfect.
The only problem i found with the G9 was that its a little smaller than other Logitech Mice so i would definitely try before you buy if you can, other than that its great,i found it alittle to small for my hand from top to bottom, north to south.
Razer Deathadder is good. Ive got one, I like it. But. Mionix Naos 5000. I love this mouse. Has the perfect fit to my hand. Fits my whole hand too, I hate small mice. Fully adjustable color scheme, change it whatever color you like, and adjust what parts of the mouse have light. Thumb buttons are large, but out of the way enough so that you can grip the mouse with pushing them, but right where they need to be for quick clicks in the heat of battle. Three DPI settings, which you can change right on the mouse. Set the DPI to any number up to 6040dpi, and down to like 200 or something. Also set the sensitivity of the mouse pointer seperate from the dpi(like this feature a lot) Weight system, which seriously changes the feel of the mouse. 8 weights, it goes from really light, to tank status. Probably the best part of the mouse, is the feel of the click. It is just so positive, smooth yet defined. Just have to feel it to try it. I love this mouse.
Does any one know if razor have a mouse with dual scroll (side scroll ) So used to using it for weapons scope but i want to try a razor mouse instead of g700
