Anyone know of the best F2P mmorpg? I already play lotro but it doesnt have enough pvp.
There's various free ultima online servers floating around if you don't mind going old school.
The graphics are waaaayyy too bad for me. I know someone can recommend something.
Everquest II is F2P, Dungeons and Dragons Online is F2P. They are basically all 'freemium', that is the basic game is free but you can pay for extra content or certain items.
Check out Dragonica. It hooked me for months
Lord of the Rings Online
Runes of Magic
For others; check this list.
I just started playing Lord of the Rings Online the past couple weeks. Its freemium too, but can be realistically played without spending any real money. You can grind store "cash" by playing the game and purchase most add on content this way.
The good thing is, you can test drive any of the above suggestions without any long term commitment.
Star Wars Galaxies is the only MMO I have played. Tried trials of WOW and LOTR, but for some reason it wasn't something I could move to from my 6yr SWG accounts.
Not played it in a few months, but OP, you should give it a go on a trial to see what it is like, however TOR will be coming out which I think my whole guild are gonna be moving to.
F2P and good graphics? ahahahaha
Anyways, Dream of Mirror Online is actually pretty good. I played it in beta a few years back. You can force AA with cell shading and the style actually looks very good. You can also tweak the config to modify the draw distance so you can see farther. I really just used it to lengthen the cutoff distance of bushes to add to the detail.
I stopped playing because they kept spamming the sale stuff on the top of the screen with a chime. Not sure if it has changed now. The main reason why it's so fun is that you can have two classes at a time like Guild Wars.
Here's some of my old video when I was playing in beta.
The game is AOE friendly, which I love.
I just got lvl 54 in LOTRO best free mmorpg that I have tried I just dont like the lack of pvp.
I got to about level 28 on Lord Of The Rings Online... I found it enjoyable when you find a good team, but playing solo is very very dull. Defiantly worth a try though... I mean, it's free right?
Mabinogi, pretty funny.
