Hi there just wandering what are the best drivers to get more quality over framerate also should i run just the driver with tray tools or ATI tool or the ccc package???
The only official drivers for that card are the 6.2 and the modified 5.13 that comes on the drivers cd.
I know that i just wanted to know which where better and if i should run it woth ccc or just the drivers and tray tools or with ati tool. BTW tommcd what are the performance gains and tempretures u run by ocing your card to those levels
I am using the 6.2 drivers. I don't use the ccc. I disabled the 2 ati services and I use the atitool to oc. By usign the atitool I was able increase my vgpu voltage and I am now running at 702/787. The last benchmark I ran was over 7K on 3d06.
Thanx man but what are your voltages what ati services did u disable and should maybe use tary tools to set aa and af or should i use ccc???
I disabled the ATI HotKey Poller service and the ATI Smart service. I currently have the vgpu set to 1.375. The beta 13 version of atitools supports setting the aa and af.
Go with the 6.2's, They are optimized for the Xk1 series and X1900XT in perticular. With the clocks in my profile I score 12,104 in 05, and 5,912 in 06. I can OC more but I have yet to see the need.

Yeah I can OC pretty high with my liquid cooling (custom blend of coolant and alcohol) I can get 800/1820 on the card and 2.96Ghz on the CPU. But I see no need to put all that extra strain on my hardware now because there is no game that I can't play at 1600X1200 with max settings with the specs in my profile. BTW with those clocks I clear 13k in 05 and am knocking on 7k's (about 6,700 or so) door in 06.
