Im currently using 71.84 whql and I already get decent fps in hl2 but I would like to know if there are faster drivers ...

So which drivers would you recommend to get good fps in half-life 2 ? ( for 6600 GT )

thats the highest i ever heard of on a 6600,ive been hearing that 6800 gt are only getting 140-145, so what are you doing ,what are your setting in game?

    1024x768 , no aa/af/vsync , all high , reflect world

BUT, i got that 142 when instead rotating glasses in the start i got rotating "error models" :p I thought that was normal. But Today I defragmented my drive and I saw those rotating glasses first time :p . Fps went down to ~132

But still these 76.45 are great, i bet I would have gotten worse fps with 71.84 and these rotating glasses ...

How can you get that high fps with aa and af on.

I only get around 93-100 depending on aa, af... Nothing I do in changing graphics is upping my fps. Not even changning the resolution does......

139fps does sounds high. I get around 80fps at 1280*1024, high detail, reflect all and AA/AF maxed out - thats 8AA and 16AF i think

    With everything on High aa=0x af=4x 1280x960 I get 137fps

    1280x1024 I get 114fps

Just changed to xg's 76.45b, I was using xg's 67.02's but I like these better.

I will have to try with AA on just to see. I never notice any difference so I don't use AA for CS:S anyway, I'm to busy killing to notice the pretty pictures.
