Hey everyone. Can someone tell me which are the drivers that offer the best performance to my XFX 6870?

    Thanks.

I've all the ones I've tried, 10.10e has been the best. The only ones I haven't tried yet or the 10.12a. If I remember correctly, the 10.11s didn't support 6xxx cards. They only supported 5xxx. This would leave your 6870 options to be the 10.10e, 10.12, or 10.12a.

Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong :)

^ Also curious of this...I have this setup (minus the BE) ...going to give the 10.10e drivers a shot tomorrow. Will report back with comparison benchmarks (using 10.12 atm)

I installed the new ccc 10.12 after missing a few days my video on TV-tuner, I must remove the cable TV jack to recover, so I do very often, I went back to 10.10 and everything is normal ! more problems with drivers for AMD!

I'm having some problems with 10.10e regarding the overclock.

When I activate amd overdrive the drivers apply the speed increase immediately on the memory clock instead of applying it only when I enter the 3d app. And the gpu clock receives a little boost as well before entering the app and reaching my desired clock.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

    im using a sapphire 6870
i found 10.10e great for overclocking but would randomly crash to desktop, and the driver itself would fail

10.12 preview has been solid for me

I use 10.12 now with the new CCC

Those 10.10e's and 10.12's, are the only drivers for the 6800's up to now anyway, so you don't have a lot of choice at the moment, either are fine from what ive been reading. :)
