I'm looking for the best defrag prog cause the Windows defrag SUX A$$. Please specify the speed and effectiveness of the prog compared to MSDefrag of WinXP. TIA
well, I use Nortons Speeddisk, but did try O&O Defrag. It is pretty sweet. Go to www.majorgeeks.com. They have a trial shareware version there. Try it for a month. It it better than Nortons for sure. Best I have tried. Its got a few different modes of optimization, and seems fast to me. And it was pretty effective, brought my fragments down to 1 %.
Don't shoot, There are two that I can recommend: www.vopt.com. This is excellent and very thorough. The second one is www.diskeeper.com , download the trial version diskeeper 8.0. This is known to be the fastest defrag software out there. I have used both and actually still do. Let me know , later.
