tech speak, no card in history can beat 5850 per\watt
I would have to say ATI HD 5870.... Took me a while to upgrade but it was worth it
5870 crushed the competition and held the top for 9 months. Brought raw GPU power and was the first DX11 render capable card
2900xt stunk in the beginning, then after several new drivers came out, alot better in frame per second wise
yes big difference, I remember playing elder scrolls IV
and getting twice or faster then the 8800gtx and I am
not kidding in certain situation, eariler drivers NO.
Cause I did my own testing on theses cards cause I used
to own both of them, actually I used to own 2 8800gtx's
in the past.
My choice would be the Radeon 9500, loved modding them to a 9700.
Do any of you guys remember the Rage Fury Maxx? If my memory serves me right, it was 2 Rage 128 chips on a single board. I had one for a while. Definitely not the best, but I think maybe that was ATI's first dual chip card?
i would love to get a 5870
9500 non pro with the L shaped memory. You could soft mod the little buggers into 9700's back in the day. Imagine buying a 5750 today and being able to mod it into a full blown 5850 or 5870?
damn what a beast!
appreciated most was you search ati 9800, was batting on it! then I had very good drivers!
that was the worse ati ever
Nobody said ATI 5770? So many people have that card : O .
I have Asus 5870 , and before it, I had GTX 460 Cyclone 1gb.... Now I'm think ,that it was great vga ,specially on tests...ati have on games about 5-10 fps more, clock on 950...
sorry but i cant hear you over the sound of how awesome it is!
The only thing the 2900 series was good for was high end benchmarking. In real world gaming it was a pretty poor card.
The best one I've owned would have to be the X1900XT, but if I had to pick I'd definitely say the 9700Pro, as it was so awesome for so long.
The HD2900 series were rubbish and got absolutely stomped by the GeForce 8 series in games. I know, as I had one >.<.
I can't hear you because it sounds like a hair dryer
The x1900xtx. Loved it! Still my fave all time cards have been in this order...
1. Voodoo 3dfx
