Um yeah, a 55-inch monitor ...  BenQ is pleased to release their newest 55-inch 4K LCD monitor, the ST550K. Adopting an IPS panel, this slim 55-inch LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution...

Finally some progress in monitors regarding the inches size! There are PC gamers that are not satisfied with the typical 27'' size monitors have. I am fed up playing on my Sony 42'' TV! I would gladly get this monitor. Can't wait for a review.

I switched from a 27" IPS Panel to a 32" Sony W800C, and now I'm using a 42" Sony W800C TV because my PC usage has changed from being used predominantly for gaming to viewing media (watching Movies and TV Series).

The black uniformity, refresh-rate, colour reproduction compared to the 27" Monitor is worse on the TV. But the viewing experience for movies has improved significantly. Bar the fact that blacks are not great at all. An OLED TV would be ideal, but way out of my budget.

    No DVI or DisplayPort?

Looks more like an LCD-TV than a monitor to me.

"The BenQ ST550K is the best smart signage ever for in-store display."

It's aimed as an ad display for stores, that's probably why.

good BIG size but lack of ports and what, too much trouble to have G sync or second model with FreeSync for 100 euros more?

    A casual marketing move..

Agree with FranciscoCL, more a lcd-tv than a "new" monitor.

Although a big fan of large displays, 55" is a bit much for me. Philips have a 40" 4k monitor which has a wealth of connections (DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, HDMI, MHL-HDMI). That to me is a more practical size. I mean how far away from a 55" do you have to sit for comfort while still being able to make out the fine details of 4k res?

This is designed as an always on store display, it probably wouldn't be that good for gaming.
