EA has released the minimum system requirements for PC for Battlefield V, which is a bit early. From the looks of it, nothing much has changed specs wise though. ... Battlefield V PC System Requirements
This could mean two things: Either EA has drastically improved their techniques and can squeeze more out of the same computing power. Or, and this is what i presume: EA has polished the engine a little bit and didn;t spend too much on upgrading. This would mean that gameplay will be very similar to BF1 i suppose.
Why would they spend money when they could just roll out the same engine and just slap a coat of paint on it
Same specs as BF1. Which where slightly higher than needed because my sons PC has a 6300 FX and a 970 on a 75hz 24" 1080p monitor with V-sync on and does get 75 fps mostly.
It is a console port, so they are still limited by the older versions of Xbox One and PS4. And while the latest versions have more powerful gpu chips, their cpus are still crap so no surprise here.
Battlefield Battlefield 2 Battlefield 3 Battlefield 4 Battlefield 1 Battlefield 5 why they count like that?...
They earned too much money, that made them go mental Sys requirements, not really a thing to go after. Basically it always was similar to what the previous battlefield game required... which means we're getting the same engine of course. The few lines of more code they added probably don't tax the hardware too much. I'm still wondering what the server tick rate will be...
I'm more interested in knowing wether or not it will have sli support - every previous battlefield has had, but as did every assassins creed game have, until origins came.
This is basically Battlefield 9. 1) Battlefield 1942 2) Battlefield Vietnam 3) Battlefield 2 4) Battlefield 2142 5) Battlefield 3 6) Battlefield 4 7) Battlefield Hardline 8) Battlefield 1 The ones i left out arn't really part of the original PC Series which started it off.
OR... And just hear me out on this... It's a reskin of the same game. I don't want to assume too much because EA is a passion driven company that delivers on the 'Game As A Service' model and cares about its games as much as its bottom line. durrr.
The best thing developers could do is to forget spending any time on wasting time on SLI and CF optimization in order to get better games.
How do you mean? You aren't trying to tell us that BF games are developed on consoles and THEN ported to PC, are you? I hope not.
I bet you BF5 will rape 4 thread cpus regardless of IPC and clocks. My 1500x did better @ 3.5 with 8 threads, then 4.1 with 4 threads. 75% avg usuage in BF1 vs 100% usuage and game was not as smooth with 4 threads. Ofcourse, the 6600k is still a far better CPU.
