I take it you can't hide your weapon or item like mines, tools, etc? Hoping to be able to have them off screen when you want for the scenery watching.
lol. You asked why people were worked up about DX12 and I told you why. That is a very legit reason. Ray/path Tracing, whether you like it or not, IS the future of gaming technology. Regardless of your personal point of view on it it is still something that other tech minded individuals may be interested in. Listen.. I get it.. I do.. it's really expensive and early tech that hasn't really shown anything to justify running to it.. but this is a tech minded forums for people who are actually interested in discussing such technology. Some of us bought RTX cards and may be interested in the technology working right. BF5 has both DX11 and DX12, and will be using Ray Tracing. A lot of early adopters understand the risk and potential loss or issues, but sometimes we don't care just so we can be a part of innovation and what is new. I think it's kind of important to discuss this.. no? Also, a lot of you all don't seem to realize that DLSS is also a feature of the DXR/RTX tech. If we can combine DLSS + Ray Tracing the performance would more than likely be there with the added reflections and such. The reflections will probably give a competitive edge in the end..
Yah, this is how they are supplementing the lack of a season pass, they knew everyone would buy a month of premier so they could play BF V ten days early, and some people will forget to cancel so EA will get 2 months of premier dollars. It's not like they ever intended to lose out on the extra revenue.
graphics absolutely same as bf1, i don t see how this game is 60 usd worth, i ll be probably waiting for black friday or christmas
can anyone please explain to me what is the difference btw dx11 and dx12? for example i could tell the difference btw dx10 and dx11, with all the rocks and edges coming out on walls, but i can barely see any difference in dx12 from dx11
The only graphical difference we know of is that DX12 will support RTX, on supported Nvidia cards But in theory, DX12 can give better performance at the same settings. Check Shadow of the Tomb Raider DX11 vs DX12 and you'll see how much more CPU limited it is under DX11.
Guess I'll hold off on the 9900K upgrade for now, getting 150 fps average on 1080p, granted Texture & Filtering on Ultra, rest low, but I don't care. My main gripe with the game is the inability to turn of TAA and the MASSIVE amount of post processing. The amount of times I die because I simply can't see enemies... I've said it before: 3D spotting was created to give artists full creative freedom, while retaining gameplay fluidity. I'm glad it's gone, but jeeses christ design your graphics with gameplay in mind first and being "pretty" second.
I dont play for the graphics. But the big maps with a lot of grass and bushes ar realy nive much better graphics tan bf1. Snow maps looks worse cause of the wihite snow overal just like in real life.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feature_levels_in_Direct3D#Direct3D_12 DX12 brings plenty to the table, the problem with DICE is that they are not implementing DX12 from the ground up, it is essentially 'bolted on' and not 'bolted on' well. Battlefield 1, Battlefront 2 and Battlefield V all perform atrociously under DX12. SOTR has a good implementation of DX12, as does the new Hitman.
