Battlefield Play4Free announced

Battlefield 2 with DX11 and tessellation would be a gift from the gods (IMO).

Although the last time I played BF2 I mentioned something to the same extent and got flamed by people running Pentium 4's with ATi 9 series cards saying it would be unfair to them and not make any sense as BF2 was enough..

 

You wouldn't notice any difference in the graphics unless they redid 100% of the game art (models, textures, maps too).

 

So....what exactly is different, majorly, between Battlefield Online and Battlefield Pay4Free other then one is available in the east and one is available in the west?

Battlefield Online:

Battlefield Online is a remake of Battlefield 2.

Battlefield Play4Free:

Battlefield Play4Free is essentially a remake of Battlefield 2

I was speaking in terms of BF2 being remade on a different graphics engine that utilizes DX11/tessellation.

I'm not too sure how anybody could complain about a free game. I'm getting in on this and if it sucks it's no loss at all.

 

Some people will complain about anything. I'm anxious to try this.

 

lol, that's what it says on the wiki for both games, and if you look at both of the games, well, they simply look like BF2....

 

Yeah, and you wouldn't notice any difference from the original BF 2.

@ Drazio, you do realize that you can't just press a button that automagically converts a DX9 game into DX11?

I don't you think realise that the entire game would need to be remade...

 

Never once did I say they should use the old ass BF2 engine.
