Hehe, what are you talking about man? I used to pub with some Warchild guys in BF2 and we all used stock weapons. Stock weapons make you a better player. Bottom line is we would come in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with stock weapons against good players with veteran weapons. The veteran weapons are a "Placebo", they aren't really that great.
i'll pass on both. judging by the recent screens and videos of ET:QW it looks like sh*t and plays like sh*t.
So you judge gameplay by videos and screenshots? Nice. And tbh it doesn't look bad, graphics are pretty damn good, and it won't require beast pc to run well either.
i agree, i thought the graphics looked very current gen compared to dx9 engine based games that are out already. i mean i probably wouldnt quite say its Oblivion or nothing but anyone that thinks it looks like sh!t is someone that stared far too long at the crysis screenshots. however i think crysis might be the ultimate online warefare, with a dense jungle to move around in, it should be fun for all styles of players be it sniper hiding in the thicket or driving a tank mowing all the trees down not sure about the 10 hours per session though, if i played i'd prefer to see who wins within an hour or so at most since unlike some BF2 players, have a life but sounds awesome
Its probably unfair to compare them. But I'm sure the comparisons are meant with the team style online gameplay, and squad based action, pioneered to the level that the BF series has taken it so far. I seriously doubt they meant theat the games are themselves similar. Apparently the rank structures, squad elements, character classes and online gameplay elements will be similar to the BF series, but a big step forward. I'm an avid BF2 & BF2142 player, but getting tired of them as I've little left to earn (like most others, I'm Brig Gen, and just about have every gold badge) So i'm looking forward to ET:QW, and will get it as soon as its out.
