Battlefield Hardline: 6 Minutes of MP Gameplay

Before all the haters come in and talk crap like they do every game. Because nothing is good enough for them. This looks like fun.

 

Looks fun. But I will not preorder this time, will see if it is as buggy as bf4 first.

 

I have heard that they are planning to charge $70 for this BF4 re-skin!! Are they out of their minds? That is just downright insulting. They could have made this a DLC or Expansion for BF4 and it prolly would have sold well as such but EA has gotta alotta nerve. I hope this fails miserably for the attempted cash grab that it is.

 

Looks nice, reminds me of Payday 2.

In days gone by, this was the sort if thing the modding community would've thought up and delivered.

I miss those days...

 

Sadly the walls have gone up on most games these days and that creativity will never even have a chance...

 

I have the beta and it's nothing special. Feels like a smaller Battlefield game.

Out of the modding community we got Counter Strike, probably one of the most played professional league games ever. Intel even sponsored it, such was its epicness.

I <3 marketing; it's my industry, but I know in my brain, heart and eyes that creativity and marketing do not mix.

 

And of course as much as they are maligned by most Dice were merely modders at one time, swallowed up by the very corporate machine that is trying to pull this fast one.

 

The preview looks just like BF4 and a combo of the rush (getting the loot) and obliteration (taking the loot to a safe zone) modes. I like the grappling hook capability. It will also be fun to taze someone. I do like the whole U.S. cities context. I'm curious to see how accurately the cities will be rendered and what city maps will be offered over time.

I'm not sure it's enough to stop me from playing BF4 for any length of time, but it's a much better effort than Warfighter as was released between BF3 and BF4 a couple of years ago.

It almost seems like it's a gateway game to get everyone hooked on the BF series.

QFT. BF4 was the worst launch I've ever experienced. Between the game not giving me access to my preorder early access and them blaming my ISP (AT&T) for misclassifying my static IP, to them completely breaking SLI/XFire for a while - it was terrible. I'm not buying anything that has the EA/Origin virus again. Too bad, it does look fun. When they give it away free I'll happily play it, but until then I'm not giving EA any business.

 

FWIW Dice are not making this game, it's merely using the frostbite engine. The battlefield team is 2 studios now, sort of like how COD is configured.

 

It appears they wanted Battlefield setting and branding, and combine it with a little more interesting missions, as in Enemy Territory, Brink, or other games like that.

The only thing I don't like here is the cops theme. It could be anything, but I wouldn't want to see cops using RPGs and demolition charges.

btw, many people got BF: Hardline invitations. I'd much more suggest you watch their movies rather than the official ones, as they are less scripted.

 

Oh I know me and Looby were just reminiscing about the "good old days" when this just woulda been a mod.

 

I wonder if every map will play like Metro since there seems (to me) like there is only one poi (the player with the "flag"). Everyone just seemed jumbled up. That makes me nuuuutttttsssss.:bang:
