Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam Daniel Matros provides some brand new details on the game. Expect it to drop sometime in Winter 2010. More...
If it turns out to be like BFBC2 but different maps/weapons/vehicles but exact same gamemodes, its a fail to me.
Actually the set in a real conflict instead in a fictional one is a plus, but ... RELEASE THAT BF1942 REMAKE CALLED BF1943, YOU DICE MORONS !!!
I am looking forward to this so much, I loved BFV. I don't like BC2 online to be honest but I imagine with the weapons on this game there might be some better quality close quater battles rather than getting raped from distance all the time. Plus there is also the added awesome soundtrack
Pretty sure it's $19.99, or very close to that. Whats this "winter 2010" crap? Still? No firm release date?
It's $14.99 actually which is a great price! Watch this trailer at the end, the price is listed as 1200 MSP for 360 players, $14.99 for PS3/PC players. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZb-49QTy-4&feature=player_embedded
There will be no optical scopes except for sniper rifles, so you should be satisfied. I'm also not sure how your games looked, but when I was playing recently, only a small fraction of my deaths were from long distance. One of the reasons may be that I really like this game (much more than CoD:BO, but maybe I'll just have to get used to it). My stats aren't great, but I'm playing just for fun. 2 online stores over here have it in preorders. One says "Q1 2011", the other "probably January 2011". I think that there may be a delay because of CoD:BO - maybe they want some time buffer, or maybe it'll be released on consoles before PC, or maybe only non-English versions will be delayed? Anyway I wouldn't be certain that it'll be released in December.
In this new video, he says 2 maps. Does he mean 2 maps are complete? Or just 2 maps for Conquest? There is also the map pack they're working on for BC2, so it sounds like DICE are kinda busy. :/
is this expansion or standalone? i have BC2 on Steam already. i just dont wanna have the same BF games one use steam (BC2) and another standalone (Nam).
Vietnam requires Bad Company 2, it also uses the same points and leaderboard. I suppose if this xpack is anything like the other xpacks; Northern Strike, Special Forces etc, it won't matter where you buy the game from. Steam isn't the only option available, there is also EA Store and D2D will probably have it also. In essence, this xpack is just added content, not a standalone game and engine.
