1)Does anyone here use mixed Anti-Aliasing?

2)Which mixed AA works the best?

The issue is no matter how much AA is enabled in-game it still looks aliased. Objects also have a white outline which is more visible when light is behind the object.

Is there any AA setting that fixes this or will it always look the same? ~Thanks

 

AA in this game is weird. Not only is it selective on what gets anti aliasing at all, but even stuff that is included at 16XAA looks more like a low quality 4X to me.

 

AA does not work into separate buffers.

 

There are a LOT of transparent textures in the game that the in-game AA just will not anti-alias.

You can force a Trans. SS through the NV panel or something like Nvidia Inspector, but results are mixed with a fairly hefty performance penalty.

I've found that 'enhancing' the game with a 2x1 or 2x2 SS mode clears up the aliasing fairly well, only the performance hit is HUGE.

However, with your 580, you should be able to throw on some Super Sampling and still get decent performance.

 

Ok, game worked fine and now when I try to start it through steam it flashes a white screen up and closes again straight away back to desktop.

Messed around with settings.ini but no joy...... Anybody any ideas?

This is on my office rig with

1090T, 8GB Ram and a 6970....

 

When was the last time it worked?

Have you updated windows recently? If so, there were 1 or 2 updates that caused havok.

They were recent enough (the last couple of weeks).

 

Anyone else see the the ea message last night?

Wierd, didnt notice a huge difference personally.

 

Nah, I didn't catch that although the lag has been pretty horrible on supposed low ping servers for the past couple of days.

 

my team Next-Century eSports (NCe) will be competing in Knife the VIP Tournament tomorrow. unfortunately first round we have to face Epsilon, one of the best bc2 team in europe. damn.. i know probably we will not reach far, we joined this for fun. anyway wish us good luck. lol

Knife the VIP? Looks like a fun version of Rush.

Too bad they had to use the worst part of the game. :|

 

we lose at the second round, the enemy team played really well, vip camp on roof with one guarding him. while other 2 hunt our vip. so their vip is safe most of the time.

i didnt record it if i did i'd be playing with 30fps which is kinda hard in competitive.
it was a bg for our team anyway

No you wouldn't! The recording software records at 30fps, you don't play at that though!!

 

K, i have read about people spamming the GL and engineers using the CG as their primary weapon. Now i think 9 times out of ten i get killed by Engineers with rocket launchers, but as i play a lot of Hevay Metal it doesnt bother me.

But last night i was playing on a 800 ticket server in a HM conquest. Spawned into a town as an assault class (my Engs were pinned down). Saw two engineers marching at me with the CG so used my GL to pop a grenade between them. Nice i thought.

What confused me about this is that in my 3 hours playing, i used the assualt character once, i killed one person with the GL and one with my XMP8. But the person i killed could not get over it.

I dont understand why this makes me a noob? i wasnt spamming it and didnt even get to drop an ammo pack before dying.

So, the question is, is every single person who uses the GL a noob? Does it give you that much of an unfair advantage that other people dont use it?

 

Play the game us you want and don't bother what other people say or think.
I don't even read of what other people post while I am playing.

 

People that complain that certain weapons are "noob" are noobs themselves.

If they can't counter a certain weapon being used against them then they shouldn't even play this game.

Whenever I play someones complaining about the shotgun, sniper, gl, cg, an-94..these types of people need to stfu and go back to CoD...
