yeah that would be nice, i highly doubt a tank gunner has to aim about 100 feet above his target =P
Pfft... great news. New maps means no stupid Onslaught!
Also, a quick follow up to this god-awful patch.
Wow 4 new maps is great, it took them quite a while though but still, good news. I'm curios to see how they work out the expansion as in if we will be able to play on those maps with modern weapons etc.
Great news, though I wished they ported some BF2 map. Gulf of Oman would be doable I guess (Strike at Karkand has too many buildings)
Nope, you should see it more like a standalone expansion. While the XP you earn are shared, the weapons, vehicles and such are restricted to each game.
I have a weird issue with this game.
If I launch the game from the Game Explorer or Start > Games menu link then the game opens in a fullscreen-sized window which obviously disables CFX and causes the start video to play jerkily and the audio to stutter. Clicking on the window with the mouse or pressing Alt-Enter returns the game to proper fullscreen with CFX working and the video/audio plays fine. If I run the game directly from the executable in the game folder then the game starts fullscreen with CFX as expected.
Anyone else come across this issue and is there a solution as I tend to launch games from Start > Games. It's not a major issue but it would be nice to have a fix.
@Kody: Karkand has already been made for BC2, but it was only used in early Beta testing. That said, look at maps like Panama Canal or maps the size of the large Rush maps. From what I have noticed, increasing player count is one issue which bogs this game down, not the environment itself.
Karkand has been hinted towards a release for BC2, but I bet ya' EA is holding it for BF3.
@Darren: Add a shortcut to the executable in the Games menu. Keep it simple.
Nice one .... 4 new maps .. can't w8
I hate how you have to aim hella high to shoot down a chopper with a tank
I hate how I generally have to aim at all in order to hit anything.
Edit: Generally, choppers are the bane of tanks.
Release date of those new maps ?
So the price is $20, should I pick it up just for the MP?
You deffenetly should. I never played Battlefield series before this one but to me it is one of the best MP on the market right now.
Yes you should buy it. The single player is no worse than any other recent modern SP/MP shooter.
The multiplayer is my favorite in recent years.
Man looking at how Black Ops is $60 this game would be worth 100, since it's that much better. The sp campaign is a bonus but the multiplayer brings online shooters to a whole new level with the advanced physics/destruction on everything... and yes there are some vehicles in it too. They also announced new maps that are free for the PC.
Short answer: yes!
I think that's exactly what is happening, and it's intentional. The M79 launcher from vietnam, for example, required a round travel something like 10-25 yards before it armed itself (I've heard some soldiers disabled this mechanism though). It's a safety measure that's been in place at least since Vietnam, and pretty handy considering the minimum safe range for indirect M203 fire is 115 ft
Thanks! Will be picking it up today!
Yup, the nade launcher has always worked like that, the nade has to travel some set distance before it can explode.
Nice to have some new maps, would have liked some from bf2 though, like wake, karkand,Oman,shaqi,dragon....man there are so many great maps for bf2.
I played Oasis on BFBC on the 360. Great map. You guys will love it.
