Isn't BF franchise killed already by EA??? BF5 could have been a great game but the management of the franchise by ea with bad launch date & 21st Century gender diversity and Hollywood action-movie style fighting made this game another EA victim...

    Free Update?

I would expect atleast a $12 monthly fee in this day and age.

The pre-rendered preview animations always are a million times more dynamic and exciting and better looking than the actual in game gameplay.

As much as I hate to say it, I kinda sorta look somewhat forward to this... if for nothing else, than just to benchmark my new build, as BFV had some of the biggest jumps performance wise, since switching to a Ryzen build.

But, at the same time, my expectations are super, super low. So yeah, we'll see in a week.

Love the update, love the game, but it really pisses me off that EA/DICE do nothing to get rid of the massive amount of cheaters in this game. No anti-cheat software included? WTF?

I bought BFV when it came out. Played for a while but the large amount of cheating just turned me off. I tried playing it this weekend for a few rounds. Had a guy with a 150ms ping that had 110 kills to 5 deaths(Most of the cheaters have higher pings as they are processing packets on the fly). Just seems cheating is not something they want to tackle.

Im done buying anything Battlefield related at this point. I'm not a fan of EA but I did like the BF series however I just can't stand the lack of doing anything about the constant cheating. At least with BF4 and prior you had player ran servers and you could count on a handful to have really good admins and kick / ban people quickly. Frankly I don't care if there are new maps if all the same cheaters are in them again.

100% agree on cheater plague. What I did notice though, is that a LOT of them have elite soldier/weapon skins. So they pay real money and thus generate income for EA/DICE and if there is one thing they REALLY care about in this game, is to release loads BFC-only skins on a regular basis.

So bottom line is this, why invest money in an anti-cheat or ban them, when instead you can make some scraps and alienate an already to the ground alienated community even further?

I know it's a messed up way of thinking, but boy does it make sense and you can bet at least some of them (DICE/EA, same bullshit at this point) think like this...

Every, EVERY little game out there, nowadays, is plagued by cheaters. But the worst of all is the fact that this is tolerated, if not even ENCOURAGED by the game producers/developers/servers, just like Salfaur and JamesSneed observed. Why? Because of the infamous "premium status", "premium weapons/tools/equipment", so-called "gold" etc. When I, a couple of years ago, proposed to Wargaming (whom ever since I call Sh*tgaming) to stop these "pay-to-win" policies and ask all players to pay a small (yearly? monthly?) amount instead, so that players would be treated equally, it was dismissed - apparently, the companies do what they do PURPOSELY, expecting that revolted and frustrated ''regulars" will either stop playing (the particular game) or start buying "premium stuff".

The last 2 installments of BF didn't do much for me. I played for a week and never touched them again. They should remaster Bad Company 2. For whatever reason, I could just play that over and over and never got bored of the multiplayer. Campaign was fun too.

Battlefield 4 was the last one I actually played a fair amount of (BF used to be my favorite game series). The decline was already in full swing by then though. At least this update is free. If they sell BF5 for $5-10, I may try it. Or it may be money wasted like BF1 was for me. (played maybe 5-10 hours)

I want the old, 1942/BF2/BF2142 style game back. If they remade those properly, I'd even pre-purchase. But that's never going to happen.

Why do people buy this garbage? It's not even fun, it's dull and been done to death. They lost me after BF2142. I bought 4 and One. They are terrible games. I guess people like things shiney.
