    Hi.

Hello. I left running Battlefield 5 in singleplayer campaign for hours,by standing in the same place in game. I go to sleep.

When i woke up i met desktop and Windows 10 message:"we've got an update for you"In near 14 hour it crashed to desktop.

Event viewer said:"display driver stopped responding and has recovered".

This is exception code of crash:"0x887a0006 "according to MDMP WinDbG.

Also in background have only gpuz and msi afterburner + rivatuner.

    My pc:9900K 4.7 stock
    2x16GB DDR4 GSKILL 3000mhz XMP
    Corsair 850 RmX
Rtx 2080 Ti Aorus Xtreme ( stock ,no oc )

I am using the newest drivers.

Also i tested Unigine Heaven ,3dmark firestrike and other games for hours and no crashes.

Memtest86 no errors. RAM TEST no errors. Realbench ok.

My question is that was related to hardware or maybe due that Windows update notification,or that doesnt matter? Also i cant reproduce this crash anymore.

    • FIRST DISABLE XMP (if enabled) and check.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Otherwise try:
    • Press Windows key + R to open up a Run dialog box. Then, type “notepad” and press Enter to open up a new Notepad window.

    • Inside the notepad window, type the following code if you’re using a 64-bit system:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers]

    "TdrDelay"=hex(b):08,00,00,00,00,00,00,00

    • If you’re using a 32-bit system, use this code instead:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers]

    "TdrDelay"=dword:00000008

    • Once the code is pasted, go to File and click on Save As.
    • Name it whatever you want, but make sure that it has the .reg extension before clicking Save.
    • Close Notepad, then double-click on the newly created .reg file.
    • When asked to confirm if you want to continue, click Yes and wait for the new keys and values to be added.
    • Once the process is complete, restart your computer.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
To undo the added registry keys (if problem persists):
    Go to registry:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

    • Once you get there, move over to the right-hand pane, right-click on TdrDelay and choose to Delete to get rid of the key.
    • Restart your computer to enforce the changes.

Ok thx but i dont wanna mess with TDR delays . Anyway it should be stable because i paid for that xmp speed. Hmmm
I cannt even reproduce that crash. Now its fine again.

When i woke up i met desktop and Windows 10 message:"we've got an update for you"and it hangs because mouse cursor was a turning circle and unable to click anything,so i just ctrl alt delete and log out.

Well wait so no? Memory is gskill 3000mhz ( XMP ).

But i tested memtest86 and RAM TEST with XMP rated speed no errors. Weird

XMP can be rather wonky. Try to disable XMP but manually set all the speed and timings to the same as it would be set in your XMP profile (write them down while XMP is enabled). That can greatly improve stability while still keeping the XMP-defined speed and timings (if your RAM truly is stable at those, that is).

OK i am able to reproduce this error crash display.

So restart pc,run tomb raider ( just other game ),close tomb raider, run BF V. Loading screen mission hand and crash. Always on the same scenario. Next run is fine. I think its driver issue. I dont see anything like that never. I think its related to restarted pc or something. Windows is 1903 v.Sick...

Ah and the same exception of course

So its the driver issue propably? Not cpu or gpu issue if i can recreate this?

Also i can play 24 hours without problem.
