This place (1 level) (loaded more GPU and CPU): How much FPS do you have this place? 1. CPU or GPU overclock? 2. Windows 7 or 8? 3. Video driver version, driver setting. 4. Game Settings (including resolution scale). 5. FPS result. :flip2:
I think singleplayer will use more GPU then the CPU. I run the game on High wit Ultra textures, HBAO, no AA. 40-76fps.
1200p, Ultra + FXAA, 12 fps in this particular place, sometimes even 9 fps (fountain in 2'nd mission). When I look to the sky, performance is 70-150 fps, but as soon as this fountain rises, it goes as low as 9 fps, something must be buged, or maybe this game calculate every water drop ? Anyway, its extreme situation, usually this game runs very well 60-80 fps (99% of time) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS0s3AHX0tU fraps benchmark 71 avg, 45 min
Are you kidding me? This game is VERY well optimized, something is wrong with his drivers or something.
Its well optimized for the most part, just look at my video (71 fps avg on single 680GTX). But there are performance bugs. First I played whole SP, and I also thought everything is fine. But one polsih site (pclab) wrote extreme low benchmark scores, so I was curious, where I could see 20fps on my card. It took me a while to find places like this, and its memory leak situation 100%. When I restarted my game, fps went back to normal People with Nv cards can try this: just go under this fountain (2'nd mission), look at it. When fountain rises fps will be cut in half without any reason (or maybe battlefied 4 calculates every water drop ?).. if you persist with looking at this fountain, eventualy fpc can drop even to 9fps http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-4/BF4-PC-Memory-leaking-94-Memory-usage-with-12GB/td-p/1731447/page/5 As you can see, many people complain about that. My friend with TITAN GPU told me, he had 10fps drops with older Nv driver, but new version helped. Well it looks like Nv didnt resolved all memory leak issues in their curent drivers.
I had alot of CPU spikes when playing singleplayer @ ultra - 4xmsaa disabled HT in bios and everything was smooth as butter.
Windows 8.1 x64 Cpu fx 8350 @4.6 7970 GHZ Crossfire Latest Beta Driver, 13.11 BETA 8 Ultra settings no change to res scale 98 FPS On High which is my current choice 157 FPS Lighting Quality I set on Low because I noticed the most fps hit when using that, well that and Mesh but I prefer to keep Mesh at least on High. Again I didnt touch res scale.
its clear to me that windows 8.1 gives a huge boost in performance. From the posts above with his specs and settings, its got to be windows 8.1. Because in this scene I drop to...45-50ish, but as soon as I point to the door on the far left..back to 90 for a moment.
Just purchased it yesterday. I was having the same low FPS issue. Knew something was up, and that it wasn't that my rig was too slow. I went and downloaded 331.65 from nvidia site, and all good now. On Win 7, playing with ultra settings.

my friend has core i7 2600 3.4 overclocked to 4.5 and gtx 580/16gb ram, he only manages 35-40 fps on ultra 8x msaa 1080p,using 331.65 driver. is this normal, or he's asking too much of his system? what can he do to play this game maxed..?
