Digital Deluxe so you get an extra few maps for free~!

Even though you get them with Premium.... If that's how they are going to spin it this time around.

And a T-Shirt~!~!~! and the possibility of playing the next games Beta *cough* I mean the demo a few weeks before the next Battlefield game releases~!~!~!~!~1 and then waiting months until issues that were found during alpha and beta get fixed~!~!~!

I will stick by my word that I will not be buying any more Battlefield games until one year after release.

I say this as a very long time fan of the series, and someone who has ideas that I gave to DICE that are present now in Battlefield 3 and 4.

If I was to share my true feelings about what the Battlefield franchise has become and how EA are treating it I would probably get banned for swearing too much.

With that said, I am still interested in anything Battlefield and look forward to what they have planed for us in future titles.

I'm actually more interested in the new Star Wars Battlefront than the Police Battlefield, but I will proabably end up getting both if I don't have anything else to play when they release.

Now that you mention it, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually include Beta access for the new Battlefront.

After seeing how BF4 turned out (the first PC BF I didn't buy) I'm no longer willing to put money into the franchise right now. Not until they change their ways and open up to the community again. Like public server files for unranked games or mod support. The CTE now is nice, but way to late.

Not to mention, they seemingly don't even put any effort into saving the classic BF games from the Gamespy shutdown themselves (instead relying on community efforts). Hell, DICE itself still didn't comment this at all... and this is their history. They really seem to have lost their ways IMO

Man, I was about to post a thread asking how to get better at this game and other fps games....I dont know about you guys, but ive been gaming so long that its just natural and something I do, I didnt realize that I never really get better haha. Funny enough though, I switched to some 8 year old 32" 1080p tv and holy crap, I was able to get 110hz working with it......all of a sudden Im doing way way better! Man, dat input lag I had before...I also got a new gaming mouse which has helped a bit too.

Im not sure if its netcode or whatnot, but how come when I throw a grenade or shoot a rocket and then die, it does not register that I threw/shot anything? Gets irritating.

Yes, for whatever reason they're doing this. At least explosives like grenades, C4 and rockets disappear when you die. Just like that.

Same problem was in BF3 and BFBC2, and maybe even BF2 but I don't remember. Basically, your client side of the game goes through the animation of throwing the nade, or firing the rocket, but then the server decides the other guy killed you before the client animation even started, so the nade throw or whatever you did locally on you PC never really happened as far as the server is concerned.

Which could be considered correct. Like I've stated before, the netcode isn't as buggy as people think it is, it just has WAY to much lagcompensation and delay going on, it takes WAY to long for data to reach a player, causing visual effects that make you go "WTF?!".

Also tickrate 10... lol DICE. It would make more sense to pack less data in a single tick but use a higher tickrate. The end result would be the same in terms of data transferred between clients, but you'd receive updates faster, more periodically (think refreshrate on a monitor, not exactly the same but similar principle, higher Hz, smoother visuals).
