I thought Danger Close was shut down and everyone who was left was moved to DICE LA or something like that. I remember reading about it shortly after EA announced they were not making anymore MOH games.

Once again, those commands are not working (right now)!

Yes, its DICE LA now. Seems ppl are still talking about them as "danger close" ;)

What would be the purpose of using those commands anyways? I thought BF4 automatically uses the max cores/threads available (as long as you unpark cores). If you look at CPU benchmarks during beta/initial release, it clearly shows that. Did something change? What am I missing here?

You don't need to unpark the cores with Win 8 (at least with 8.1) as Resource Monitor does not say it in any power option. Unlike Win 7 that actually says parked.

The registry entry is still 100 "for parking %" if you dont change it in Win 8.

If you dont want to use max count, like having 6 cores, only want to use 4, etc.

What difference does that make, if Windows reports not parked?

    http://coderbag.com/Programming-C/CPU-core-parking-manager

Would this do it or do you know a better one to apply to certain power options?

Yes, doing in the registry manually. Fact is, if you have a fresh install of Win 8, this tool and the reg shows 100% parked. I doubt win 8.1 makes a different there.

And btw. the "new" tool from him issnt even working for me. Just the old one.

All the same tools, editing the same registry strings.

I think I will try this one. Which options do I tick or slide? Which way should the sliders be to have parking completely off?

DreamWorks Interactive > EA Los Angeles > danger close > DICE LA

They have re-branded the company a lot but it's still the same company, building and a lot of the same original MOH guy's

EA wanted to totally wipe the danger close name after MOHWF but in fact they just moved them onto work on DLC for DICE and so renamed them DICE_LA

They were still called Danger close when they started work on the DLC so **** it I will call them Danger close still :)

But the program called Manage Parked CPU's is showing Value 100 and status parked. Before I used Parkcontrol it was showing parked in Manage Parked CPU.

This is Manage Parked CPU after using park control with the second picture's settings.

...must be 0 like i said!!! Why not just do it manually in registry!? Then you now for sure, what you did!

Search Key in regedit "0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583" and change all values in every key you find "ValueMax" & "ValueMin" to 0!

Is this correct and the only entry to change as there is only one of each?

Thanks for your help. I had read that you did not need to do this on Win 8.

Works fine for me. Wonder what is causing that error for you.
