Sh!t. Everybody and their goddamn uncle is going to be using that lol. I'm personally waiting for the inevitable weapons nerf.

Even with the odd game crash pre-patch there is no way the game is a 5 out of a possible 10! At the very worse 7 out of a 10....

My take on the game is a solid 9/10 I have played around 10 games so far and had one sound crash. It was when I was in a tank battle and decided to use my guided missile. As soon as I was targeting the game went into a sound loop then crashed. Obviously, this says to me they are having some sound issues and we can all be assured a game patch will fix all these silly bugs that every release goes through during launch week. A game as complex as this is almost guaranteed to have some bugs along the way.

I finished the campaign and unlocked weapons for campaign use, none of them have been made available for me in MP. To be honest i don't think blog even acknowledges i played the campaign at all, blog is such a fail piece of kit.

The clientside crashing is annoying as hell. Impossible to enjoy the game.

Wait a few hours after campaign finished. Ending each one, one weapon and rex 1st level and knifes through levels.

The dam map was so buggy for me. FPS all over the place but mostly below 60 (GPU usage stuck at 50% max on both cards, CPU at only about 40%), sound cutting out and the server (Scan.co.uk's) crashed twice on it too, which reset the playlist back to Shanghai (which runs perfectly).

After watching some footage, I think I am going to hold off on purchasing this until Premium comes out with it, this game doesn't feel anything special, its like a BF3 expansion pack in my eyes. I am kind of disappointed they are going the same route Activision has done with their COD franchise. Both developers are now trying to milk as much money out of their fan base by releasing sequels that are nothing more than reskins, and expansion packs of older titles. They don't take any risks in developing new mechanics. I honestly had more fun in Bad Company 2 than BF3. I loved the destruction in Bad Company 2 and the map sizes, BF3 seemed like it was Call of Duty game with larger maps and vehicles.

So,...my horrible stuttering is finally gone!!! I got 2-4 seconds freezes randomly very often, 0-2fps...total ab****...all i did was changing in Origin BF4 Properties, launching game in x86 mode! Its totally smooth now, even on ultra and msaax2...unbelievable cant believe my eyes... I read about the change to x86 in BL ;)

Im also not using a user.cfg anymore, except the drawfps, no renderdeviceahead, etc. just vanilla! :wanker:

BF4 at the moment is unplayable for more than ten mins :(
its not just random crashes it crashes 80% of the time , how can they release a geame that's not fit for purpose .
    BF4.exe stopped working !
i also get "unresposive browser plugin "
will see if todays server update fixes it , or by past performance what will they break !

Something "unexpected" happened to me last night. I started the campaign and actually liked it :D
Even if you only take a look at the first mission it's well worth the time. You'd even get a weapon for multiplayer afterwards :)
I played through half of the missions in a single "session", so the campaign isn't really long, but they spiced it up with some things (compared to BF3) to make it worth the while.
It's at least a nice tutorial to get your keys bound, learn all the abilities and some of the weapons and get your graphics adjusted.
Great stuff really. The first BF singleplayer I really enjoy.

I'm still waiting for some battlepacks to unlock. I opened them but it doesn't show up as unlocked on the equipment tab.

it's a headache but worse thing is longer you leave it worse chance you have of being amongst equal player levels.

Which wouldn't be an issue if you had all "kinds" of things unlocked right away, and if later unlocks weren't clearly better. Especially vehicle unlocks are a real issue to me.

I dont think it matters to much with guns but yes the vehicle unlocks are important. Once thing i always hated about Bf3 was that you need a bazillion unlocks for a jet, tank etc.

In Bf2 you had a plane, a gun and a couple of bombs, that was it. So much better as it came down to skill that made you good and not the amount of unlocks that you had. Even BC2 was better as everyone was on equal ground with there unlocks. The BF franchise has know become a Cash Cow tbh when you analyze it.

If you come into this game late while using vehicles your pretty much ****ed as everyone else will have ranked up there vehicle unlocks. But then DICE are clever cause they get you to buy that unlock pack that opens all the features for you. Pretty lame tbh when you think about it. I would get a refund at this point if im honest, Oh wait i already have a refund lol.

Typical that the game was more stable before the Official UK release. DICE release a couple of patches and break everything, just as i predicted! Just played another game and crashed, no point tbh.

The vehicle unlocks are the most important, absolutely. To me it' not the guns themselves but the class-specific stuff that can be a pain (if you miss something).

It's not an issue if you play one of the Call of Duty-inspired modes, like Defuse, or something as simple as Team Deathmatch. You adapt to what you have, unlock things, no problem.
But if you're trying to play as a team, have vehicles at your disposal, you'll need all the things available. That's the moment higher-level players have a clear advantage, even more so if you're a specialist (all the MBT unlocks won't help if everything you can use is a boat, a jet or a chopper ;) ).
