Battlefield 4 in October 2013?

i like how i don't need skill to kill because there's like no recoil even with the bigger guns hope they don't change it

The game has built in support for microphones so you can talk to your squadmates. (Unlike BF3 where you needed to use third party solutions like Teamspeak.)

I haven't tried it yet in BF4 (I need to fine my headset's detachable microphone) but I believe you use need to press the left-Alt key to activate your mic.

I was in a round this morning where a squad mate was using it. He saved my butt once when he told me I was about to get knifed. I quickly turned around and did my first successful counter-knife move.

 

Voice over IP. You can talk with anyone on the server (I think).

Yea tried the VOIP with a friend today, he could hear me fine, but I could not hear him for some reason. It's pretty cool though, no need to bother with skype anymore.

Also, how do you counter knife? By pressing "F" while beeing knifed yourself?

 

At this point the worse you could say is that bf4 is just map dlc and some campaign, looks exactly like bf3 at this point. (at least from the vids)

yea VOIP is limited to your (5 man) squad as far as I can tell, it would be a mess otherwise. And the button is left ALT, it's like a push to talk in skype/ventrillo/teamspeak.

is the beta using dx11.1 features? The multi of bf4 use it anyway?

 

We don't know, it is running better on W8 so it may be true.

 

How do you counter a knife takedown? I had it happen 2 times for me but I wouldn't know how to do it if I would be knifed.

Wow just had some great rounds! I was with a guy in attack chopper and damn could he fly we we're unbeatable until we got 2 choppers hitting us.
At the end i had a score of 33-8, never been that good in a BF game.
Chopper gunner rocks. :banana:

The transport heli finished us off.
