Battlefield 4 in October 2013?

Didn't bother to read all the pages after your post but this seems to be a secret no one wants to share.

After scanning the Internet like Neo (well, not really) I found out that Fraps is a good option if you want High, Low and medium values of your FPS. I don't have Fraps so I downloaded Dxtory trial just to check current FPS. If I experience slowdowns I quickly checked the top left of my screen Oldschool but it gave me an idea that I have 45-60 fps but mostly 60fps. Ill try to use the FPS limiter of Dxtory to see if I can smoothe out the occasional stuttering from insufficient VRAM usage (not sure it will help).

AB will give you all statistics you need EXCEPT FPS

The difference for me between Windows 7 to 8 is like.... 7 was stuttering... and 8 is not stuttering.. Windows 8 is smooth and there is no frame dips like on 7.

Why would it stutter on 7 but not on 8?

 

Was that the round when i couldnt get into your squad?

How do you toggle the alternate sight on the sniper rifle? I can't find it in the settings menu.

 

dx11.1 doesn't it add ability to use system ram as well as VRAM or was that dx11.2 for the frame buffer

Well everything was fine until last night when the game suddenly started randomly hanging during a match. Different servers and with varying amounts of players...

 

Press 'T' when aiming down the scope

 

One strange bug I had on one round was when I died it would stay there at the death view... but with no controls to spawn.. then I found hitting "Esc" to bring up the game menu screen.. then going back into the game made the Spawn Screen show again... this happened for a full game..

Another strange thing was I spawned with no weapon.. my hands and weapon were invisible.. I could only walk around.

Any benchmarks to confirm Windows 7 vs Windows 8 ?

 

yes stand corrected dropped to 1 GPU an it's hitting 1.9 to 2GB VRAM, but man does it run like crap with 1 card seeing 45 fps down from 80-110 with 2 cards

 

Had that a few times yesterday, had to keep pressing ESC.

 

I can confirm that there is a difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8.

I'm not sure if it is system specific.. but for me... and another.. going from Windows 7 to 8 made the stutter stop.

My Windows 7 was installed yesterday.. clean install.. new driver.. Stutter.. or would you call it frame drop? it felt jerky to move..

Then today I have installed Windows 8.. Same drivers used as with Windows 7.. No Stutter.. very smooth..
