This should absolutely be added back to BF4. Hands down most important feature to support team work.
Is the sound issue only in BF3 and no other game or application?
Have you tested to see if there is a problem with your sound card? Have you tried using the onboard sound of your motherboard to test this? is the problem still present in BF3 when using onboard sound?
Have you tried a repair installation through Origin of Battlefield 3?
Have you downloaded a new copy of the driver installation for your X-Fi sound card?
i have sound issues to sometimes..i bet its the game..not the hardware..sometimes an explosion is not there and the other second everything is normal again..dunno what it is..
What drivers are u using dude?
I have the same Card as u have..
i use a mix of SB X-Fi Series AuzenUAA Pack 1.8 (10/25/2011) and the Daniel K SB X-Fi series Support Pack 2.5 (10/25/2011)...
works like a charm here with everything...Thats why i think its teh Game that makes these Probs..SInce it happens rarely...
anyway here a re the links to teh drivers
SB X-Fi Series AuzenUAA Pack 1.8
Daniel K SB X-Fi series Support Pack 2.5 (10/25/2011)
i hope that helps..
hey guys thank u very much.
- BF3 download is fresh.
- Sound card drivers r fresh.
- Other games just works perfect.
- Didn't try onboard :/. i don't want to. Because my case is sitting in a very tight corner which makes it very hard to reach etc.
- shall i try those modified drivers? i tried them years ago and they were sht man with my SB 5.1 lol.
- i played coop and SP..it is same. Actually tis issue disappears after a time. at the begging it is like..how can i say..it was happening in movie theaters. in 1996 or when was it. when i was watching Jurassic Park 1 in the cinema the surround sound was odd. it was making some kind of echo or how u call it..repeating itself.in milliseconds.
i will try those drivers first. thank u my friends.
my problem here, it first does that kind of issue, "repeating itself like". then stutter like. then everything turns to normal after a while.
My friend. which PACK i must install first? pls i need ur assistance.
good question, hehe..
well i mixed them cause i had an issue..BUt go with the AUzenPack first..if all works ur good to go..i only used teh support pack for the THX center tools and the volume center thing..
make shure u make a clean driver install..so use driver sweeper or whatever.,.and get rid of ll creative stuff...then install...
I was just wondering if there is any way to purchase BF3 Premium for less than £40? I don't play too often at the moment, but I am getting a bit bored of the current maps and lack of servers with just basic BF3. I can't justify paying £40 for the game, then another £40 for an add-on, too many outgoings this month to afford full price.
Or is it as simple as 'bite the bullet' and pay up? I need new maps! is it possible?
Some were able to buy Premium through different country settings in Origin and get it cheaper... I don't know if it can still be done, and I wouldn't like to discuss it in any depth on here.
In all however, you'll be getting 8 new maps straight away, as well as 20 new guns to unlock.. plus some soldier and gun camos.
Then there'll be 3 more expansions in the coming months, each with new maps and guns etc.. could be seen as worth the £40.
Not imo, as a competitive CS(S) player I think Voip between squad members is more important. The basic cornerstone of good team play is communication.
Is what you are experiencing, game runs perfect but sound disappears for an amount of time then comes back later?
If this is what you are experiencing I too also have this happen very rarely.. It started with the newest update for Battlefield 3.
This is a game issue, not sound card issue.
That video made me moist. :banana:
What would you guys say is a sensible FOV? I'm on a 1920 x 1080 monitor. Some people in forums say 90 but that is just silly as it's no good for general gameplay including a little sniping. Also you get extreme fish eye I feel.
I also know the FOV is handled differently to BFBC2.
I know their is no right and wrong I'm just after some advice.
yeah man i figured it too because i started to use onboard sound card and problem still exists.
yes alot of isnt so good because of that fish eye effect. i personably using 86. not bad. try it. but i will try 82 tonight too.
That's great thanks, the expansion doe's look like its worth it in the long run with the amount of maps you will get. I will wait until I get paid in another two weeks and fork it out
Shawor wrote this. Not sure if it's good advice or not though.
Use this guideline:
it's always <horizontal fov> = <vertical fov>
FOV90 (Recommended) = 74
FOV100 = 84
FOV110 = 94
FOV90 (recommended) = 78
FOV100 = 88
FOV110 = 98
16:9 (1280x720, 1920x1080)
FOV90 = 59
FOV100 = 68
FOV110 (Recommended) = 78
16:10 (1280x768, 1280×800, 1440×900, 1680×1050, 1920×1200, 2560×1600)
FOV90 = 65
FOV100 (Recommended) = 74
FOV110 = 84
Why? That's no help at all!
I've been testing 95 FOV, but I feel it's a bit too high.. so I went back to 85..
85 because of reasons
Well according to that post above 78 vertical FOV is best for my resolution. Any higher is starting to fish eye and you people look to small to shoot at.
This thread is interesting. 74 seems to be cropping up all the time...
