MAV riding has already been fixed in the upcoming patch, dev's said it was not intended to be used in that way.

Imo it was pretty funny seeing it at first but it get be abused way too much so I'm glad it's going.

seems ea is making sure everyone keeps their pre-order and not canceling just to get a free bf3 code.

 

That was very fast.. It was only announced yesterday wasn't it? or the day before?

They could of at least let it go for a week.

Maybe they met their quota of pre orders with that announcement :/

In Australia when BF2 had been out for a little bit, they did a deal with Pizza Hut so people ordering a certain type of Pizza would get a copy of BF2.

They could do that for BF3, get a lot more players in there that's for sure.

is origin being "special" for anyone else right now?

 

Yup. everytime I try to log in it freezes then switches to login in offline mode, a quick look at Battlelog shows servers that I know are full almost 24 / 7 have next to no players in them. Origin a great reason NOT to buy a game.

Very handy utility for changing the in-game settings outside of the game, this new version has some interesting new features.

 

new? i see january 5th as the release date, not exactly new unless they announced something and just haven't completed uploading it yet

Also, anyone have any comparison shots with BF3 on the Shadowmap Resolution?

Currently according to that program it's set to 1024, but according to what i've been told it can be raised to 2048, 4096, and 8192, but does it actually bring a decent quality difference? that's what i can't find pictures of
