pre load is up
If You can't download (and Have Pre-Order)
Go into Origin Store and click on BF2042 then click try (it will add Beta to the library).
Hope it helps
Im ready for tomorrow.
If you limit the FPS to 60 you might be fine. But Frostbite likes them cores especially during loading.
So this is a different beast to bf5? Because in bf5 i was getting 130 fps with gtx 1070
Have no idea about BF2042 but if you are fine in BFV 64 players I think you should be fine in BF2042 64 players.
Orbital is considered a moderate-sized map for Battlefield 2042, however, every person noted that the map was too big, even for 128 players.
The main feedback on the map is that there are too many open spaces and no cover, making infantry combat boring for a mode like Conquest.
Boring infantry fights on maps that are way too large, where have I seen that last... oh wait
If the map is too big with lack of enough cover, that's an easy fix.
The possible reports of stuttering on good PC's, now that's a big problem. The micro stutters of Frostbite, if they haven't fixed it by now..........
Will not pre-order, but will give the beta a shot.
Again, long time BF player but the gameplay of the last couple of releases is just not as smooth as it should be on such a mature game engine.
you think it will have frametime spikes on dx12 just like bfv? I'm hoping they fixed this.
did you try lowering the mouse poling rate? that fixed it for me.
2nd this. The reports are my typical BF nightmares. Bad balancing, large empty maps. Twice the players doesn't necessarily means twice the fun.
They should have kept dx11, always ran better on frostbite...
Battlefield will never reach the epic scale battles Planetside 2 once had. When you see 500v500+ siege the 128 players map is nothing.
On weekends you can still get those battles in planetside 2
I've played the orbital map, every single point has cover there is also plenty of routes for infantry to move point to point. Probably best to keep off the roads though if you're on foot :3
Disliked it immensely. And with the class system gone I had a Long range rifle that I could instantly mod to a red dot bolt action, an ammo box and a RPG so you never had to move and could handle anything.
But if you held either of the C point you were just constantly sniper from people on the hills. If you controlled that and F you have to push east either up over hills with nothing but bushes or a big open runway with nothing for cover bar a few building that are leveled within minutes.
B1 is the worst point on the whole map, everyone sits inside on the various floors and pushing in is a quick death.
I get this when I try to play and nothing happens, I did actually preorder as well
The open beta early access starts in a couple of hours.
Ah thank you in New Zealand we are ahead of the rest of the planet
