OK, a long shot suggestion is to try disabling stuff. First up, disconnect your modem, and WiFi, after you're into the game's menu and ready to hit play. Give it a chance to complain, and then click away that screen, if the game is going to do that. As long as you're offline it should be safe to disable any anti-virus software you have. Do you have "Indexing" enabled for your drives? If so, try turning it off. Check out everything you have running in the background, other than stuff like Explorer, and experiment in turning them all off. Use Task Manager/Processes for that, or something equivalent or better. Turn off all automation like screensavers, and see if your power options need changing. Maybe you have it set to turn off some of your hardware when not in use?
I’m having a lot of fun with double xp weekend and getting a lot of easy kills with console players haha.
https://origin-a.akamaihd.net/EA-De...aller-releases/EADesktop-12.0.58.4866-242.msi do this to get the MSI file, and uninstall and repair are both items on the context menu, this should have been resolved with the FixIt tool though.
The desktop msi starts to install, then rolls back, says nothing was changed and stops The fix it tool doesn't list the problem program
This is a screen of desktop msi installer, first time I've been asked to agree to lorum ipsum and this is the finish
Windows Key + R , Type eventvwr , then in Windows Logs, look for any entries appearing when you are installing.
I have no idea what you are looking for also, this is just one suggestion to look for hints as to what is causing the program to not install. Basically look at the times of things being created in the log and see if anything corresponds with you installing the EA program.
Maby try to set in Folder security (Right click on Program Files) Full controll for Authenticated Users & Users. Windows tend to screw this one up - all folders / SSD have to have it IMhO. Some games won't save properly etc. (some games needs Everyone) Programs can't install.... and so on
Nah nothing works, I have decided I don't care I never liked the game in the first place. Loved every other BF game (had them all) but this one never worked for me. I only wanted it to work as I had given my 3060Ti to my son who has 2024 and thought i could play with him. In the end I gifted him MW2 (my current fave) and we can play that together
@big ROBOT bill Did you run the EA installer as Administrator? Was that Windows 11 installation a clean install or upgrade from 10 on the previous SSD?
Yes I tried it as an administrator, and windows was an upgrade from 10. The game did used to run when I first bought it, and Origin installs just fine, it's now that EA app needs to be involved that I have problems
Do get this error when trying to install the EA app? Have you tried repairing the C++ 2015-2019 apps (click on it then select modify)?
