Cant play till 11pm tonight (UK release) just looking for some advice before i jump in , i dont want to spend ages messing with settings
just got mine in the afternoon, preloading now, 40gb XD
Has anyone received their cdkeys pre-order key yet?
i received it today in the afternoon yes, i'm preloading now, 2 hrs to go XD:banana:
Still waiting here..may take longer cos I,m at the bottom of the world lol, wish it would hurry only got 15min of the trial to go..
I love how the weapon skins aren't just different colors, but also add engravings and such, depending on the weapon type. Vehicle skins too are very "lore friendly" and nothing remotely over the top. Lovely.
Heres some good user.cfg tweaks i found
to look for yourself look in Battlefield 1\Data\initfs_Win32
Yay got my cdkey code did not realise as a first time customer had to do the phone verification thing
Small update just happened 100 or so megabytes
how can i know if the user.cfg is working? i placed it in the game folder, origingames/bf1
I have been downloading this game overnight (it's at 99% complete now) but I was still able to play the campaign this morning which I have briefly.
The game detected Ultra settings it opened in a DX11 window so I selected DX12 and set it to Borderless. That seemed to run fine but when I tried to switch to Fullscreen mode from the first War Stories mission after the prologue (the one where you start in a tank) the game crashed with some kind of DirectX error:

Haven't tried setting Fullscreen again though as I have to go to work shortly. Anyone else experienced this issue?
Initial impressions are that campaign is... OK. Graphically the game looks good but some of the building textures look awful; very lo-res and flat looking which you cannot avoid seeing since in the prologue you have to take constant cover behind crumbling walls. Also, I noticed all of the cutscenes so far are pre-rendered which is hugely disappointing as they are capped at 30 fps and look obviously softer/blurrier than the in-game visuals. Weren't all the cutscenes in Battlefield 4 real-time? I seem to recall they were...
i wouldn't be surprised if you are saying, we are constantly being limited by the consoles peasants, even in a Battlefield game, just notice when u enter the options menu, u see directly a xbox controller scheme in front of u...!!!
I had DirectX Crashes in the Trial as well, once I deactivated the Origin InGame Overlay I had no more crashes from the Game ever since the early enlister release.
Maybe try to deactivate the Origin InGame Overlay and see if that works out for ya.
At least EA Dice have produced a game with great graphics and fully optimized game for pc.
Unlike MAFIA III,Quantum Break e.t.c that can't hold 60fps even on a GTX 1080.
can you tell me wich settings i can lower a bit that don't impact too much the visual quality to increase framerate? I have a gtx 1080 msi gaming paired with a rog swift 1440p 144hz..The gsync is good of course and that's smooth but i want to raise near to 144 fps almost all the time because when i play multiplayer i see the difference between 100/110 fps and constant 144 fps...Maybe two or three settings that i can sacrifice? Any advice? Thank's in advance!
The engraved emblems is a lovely touch. Very classy indeed. Well done DICE
Cut-scenes are real-time.
That is soooo true, while I don't mind the Xbox Controller Support.
