The operations being added to the server browser is a gods send. It was and is my favorite game mode. I even tested out operations matchmaking and they even fixed that! Full game each time I search.

  4. How does BF4 compare to BF 1 in your opinion? I've thought of getting BF 4 too as it's quite cheap nowadays.

They are quite different, mainly because of high rpm modern guns in BF4, and all the lock-on missiles etc. Because of that BF1 can be a bit more "skill" based, but even here there are some cheesy guns especially for close quarters. Overall though, I enjoyed BF1 a lot more than BF3&4, I finally learned to fly without being constantly harassed by lock-on missiles and it's a real joy to have dogfights. Also, if you like sniping BF1 is way more rewarding, it's pretty much the most "sniper friendly" BF game that I've played so far.

First off - it's a bit more fast paced.

Second - I had a better "feel" with it..... sounds weird, but I could dominate that game more than BF1 :D

Because BF1 needs more skill? Iron Sights, etc.

Don't think it's the skill that is lacking, but more the pace.
Not CoD pace but faster than BF1...

  10. Thanks, I'll likely give it a go. Think I'll reinstall BF 1 first to try it on again.

Does anybody know if you can configure lan play on Battlefield1? Does it even support lan gameplay or you have only the option to connect to their servers?

You probably have to setup internet server and password it. Since server will be on lan, your connection to server should go directly to it, without exiting LAN. (However you might have to do same settings as internet server, port forwarding, etc...)
Servers for BF games are very CPU demanding, so you probably should have a machine dedicated for it.

Just my random thoughts, if there no lan settings.

I tried going through the settings and I ended up at "SERVER RENT". I'll look into it again, but I got two systems on the same network and all I want to do is setup a host and have the other computer join. Now i'm not sure about the bots or anything if Battlefield 1 even have bots for lan gameplay. Thanks for the reply, i'll look into it.

Did some quick google: looks like EA killed server setup. You have to rent server and set it to private for your needs. Looks like there no way to run server on your lan.
I guess server files are not published...

    That's a shame... didn't expect that.
