Thanks, bro. Every little fix to increase graphical fidelity in this heaping mess works. Jk, it looks stunning already. But seriously, I appreciate graphics!
Hmmm, my memory is 1600, I'm pretty sure I can't overclock anything on my laptop. My cpu though doesn't reach more than 90% usage. So this is only fixed by a game patch? I will also try to limit mt PR frames to 2, see if that helps. NO issues on SP at all.
@serbicu I remember using some tool in the past to flash my laptop ram sticks to change timings and freq, though I wouldn't recommend that. Depending on the ram you have, maybe you have some XMP profile or something your bios could load to enable higher frequencies. Anyway, maybe this will help you : 1 - Create a user.cfg file in your Battlefield 1 directory, where bf1.exe is located. 2 - Add these 3 lines to it : Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8 GameTime.MaxVariableFps 144 RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 2 3 - Launch the game. Details : Since your i7 has 8 logical cores, let's tell the game to use no more and no less than 8 cores (it may or may not prevent the 7th and 8th cores to be parked by Windows, though you may want to double that with unparking your cores globally). It has helped many people over the BF forums. Since you're using a laptop, using the performance power plan in control panel should do the trick (though keep in mind it will force your CPU to run at max clocks and force all cores to be active). Next, we set the MaxVariableFps to the framerate you're aiming for. The issue is definitely linked to uncapped framerate as the world sync and physics processing seems tied to the current framerate (interpolation maybe ?), so capping it to some kind of "balanced" framerate for your CPU should prevent sudden framedrops due to peak core loads, thus limiting your GPU. And at last, we're forcing the engine to render only up to 2 frames ahead to lower CPU load. GPU load should be higher, too, and input latency reduced. Hope it'll help. Good luck ! Edit : Oh, and don't use DX12 renderer, it's currently a buggy mess.
Yeah, tried everything you said, was no go...still the same gpu and cpu usage. Thanks for the tips anyway I guess only DICE can fix this. And this game has some serious audio issues!!! I mean how can someone sneak up on you and knife you, and you don't hear a thing? LAst BF that had a good audio was BF3, since then it's been shyte...:bang:
So correct me if I am wrong but suppression in this game is broken? Or more correctly it is massively unfair against Scouts. When you're suppressed no matter what class you are the accuracy of the weapon is dropped (i.e the weapon fire spread increases) meaning that even if you dead eye a target clean down the iron sights / crosshairs you'll still miss (stupid mechanic if you ask me) but for the Scouts you get a noticeable increase in sway / scope movement and you can't overcome it by holding your breath on top of the increase in fire spread. This is something that most of the other classes won't have to deal with (perhaps the Medic with whatever few rifles in that class have scopes.) and frankly is a stupidly broken mechanic for a class that is all about accuracy and is currently limited to single action bolt rifles.
Am i the only one having so much fun playing Assault? It's really THE class i like the most. All those tanks thinking they're invicible :3
Right! I forgot about this! Why don't they get the audio right? We invest in the best gaming audio gear, we want to be able to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from. I remember in BF3 almost nobody could sneak up on me. The sound is just ridiculously bad in this game.
Yeah assault is one of the best classes! Played scout at first, then switched to assault. Had a lot of fun with the storm automatico, but I just got my hands on the hellriga(hope I got the name right), and man what a ride!
Whoh... Upgraded from 780Ti SLI -> 1080. Settings went from medium -> ultra FPS from avg. 45 -> 85 Nice upgrade on UHD resolution.
have allways played assault in battlefield games. But with BF1 I have change class.. Scout is the best in BF1 (sadly).. alot better killratio. Hopefully future DLC will have maps optimal for assault and other classes. All these maps with roof-top sniping is superior
I tend to disagree. Sure, snipers can be annoying at times, but if you are really good with your trigger finger , you should be really hitting the scores. Of course, it sometimes depends on the map, but I have no problem with a high kill ratio, playing as assault.
BF is not about kd, when do people get this? Go play cash of duty. You should adapt in situations, take thus classes which are needed then. Guess 90% of the people dont do this anyway. Because they only think of themself, yeah, like in reallife!
Only play TDM or Domination only infantery,, TDM is about Killratio.. dont tell me otherwise. I have allways played BF and not COD.. The maps inf BF1 is designed so scout has an advanche.. (TDM) There are no small fastpaced maps. assault in Bf1 cant do long range as they can in BF4
I always PTFO, but almost everyone of us Looks/cares about the kill/death ratio. And sometimes we win the round and I'm like 18/22, sometimes I lose the round because of the bad Team I'm in, and get 7/22. This is frustrating at times...but I Keep playing But lately I managed to play with really good teams. You know you played well, when you have more than 18.000/20.000 Points on conquest
Yea that's actually what I like about this game, it's about teamwork towards objectives, not just k/d. Ofc depends on the team/squad you're in and game mode. TDM is everyone-for-themselves really and that's fine. Playing Conquest usually means better team effort to begin with. Been playing TDM mostly so far just to try and hone my combat skills but it's also the most frustrating mode. Done a couple of Conquests too and the gameplay is immediately more tactical and pleasing. Playing medic I was once in the top three scorewise with just a couple of kills and about the same deaths. Reviving teammates and following orders. Not to mention the larger maps make for more varied and better paced play, TDM is a clusterf*ck of people shooting each other. Plus I'm fairly certain there's some cheating involved too, there have been numerous times I've thought how on earth did I get shot from there (=behind the rock 300 m away).
