Yeah having this issue too which is slightly annoying.... I've never bothered with medals to much before but I'm finding they are good way to force play style change. It's easy once you find a combo that works for you to play each map a certain way which can become boring. Going for the medals is maybe not the best way to help your team sometimes but it's keeping it fun for me.
came back now from short Holidays....been playing bf1 again...latest Drivers fixed some issues for me. However BF1 starts not in Fullscreen, and sometimes during gameplay it minimizes automatically when ppl stopped playing bf1...really annoying. On top of that..the Medal Display , and tracking Progress is Buggy. Plus also sometimes Display issues when the game is finished to see, who was the best and who got battlepacks...sometimes there is just the round circle moving around. Game is however apart from that really amazing. However I've had bad Teams in the last few matches...Medics seems to Forget they are Medics...or no Medics at all..all playing scout and assault -,- and some Support. Snipers all over the place...People killing through walls or mountains...weird stuff...
Man the battlepacks system is ****ed. Yesterday I played like 5 hours domination only, so literally 10s of games and not a single drop. Today I played 5 CQ large, and got 4 packs one after the other. Granted, I did rape this time around, being in top 3 every game but it's supposed to be random so I don't know. :3eyes:
Any tips with the medic? I find I am using the pistol way more than I ever have simply because the rifles suck at close range. The medic rifles also seem to suck at long distance too. Seems like a class you have to focus on a bit more which I like quite a bit. I also still use the individual packs simply cause using Q to throw to team members is awesome.
Medic, yeah stick with a squad, play the objectives, assuming you are playing conquest. Use medi-packs / containers and revive fallen counterparts. All the weapons for the medic seem to work best at mid range. So if you are playing the objectives then find a spot that gives you a decent overwatch spot but be aware that the majority of your points will come from heals, revives and flag captures the irony of the medic is that to score the big points you need to always be moving, dealing out medi packs and revive but the weapons themselves work better from a stationary spot. Depends on weather you want that high K/D ratio or weather you want points.
I'm sticking with bolt action rifle SMLE MKIII infantry, but it sucks when you come across assaults and support. Don't really like sitting in the back and camp, that's no fun at all. The map with the big fancy villa is fun to play as scout, running on top of gate picking people off inside the courtyard or outside the gate. I don't like any of the other class weapons tbh, i liked the BAR at first but the insane recoil puts me off and it has only 20 bullets and doesn't do much damage in return.
Yes it is fun at times, but when I read I have to kill 3 vehicles with K bullets, I find it highly annoying, because those bullets are practically useless. Or dynamite kills (which is easier), still is tricky. You get one every 5 character levels I think, but I think not for weapon service stars. Haven't looked into the matter any further. Need a hug Asi?
Nah I'm fine, thanks for the offer though Frustration stepped in after numerous consecutive spawn-move-try-to-shoot-but-die-yourself moments...
So after being quite harsh on this game pre-launch am getting it. Too good to pass up. Might need a new mouse. Any recommendations? (am left handed and does having a good mouse for this actually account for much...?) p.s the medic guns to me look the most fun so far.
I'm left handed too and I've been using the razor abyssus mice for years (I have all 3 versions) They are very simple mice with a nice shape I play with pretty low dpi and they work great imo
I'm still loving the setting Sadly I seldomly find the time to play Operations, but even the regular game modes like Pigeons or Rush are great fun. As typical in a Battlefield game, I feel like coming to a shootout with nothing but a knife, but this time the game is great fun and the maps have some unseen diversity.
Thks! Will see how my logitech g4 survives....amazed it's lasted so long. Really want the deluxe version that Lawrence of Arabia gun is very tempting.
Don't feel bad. According to Origin, i've played BF1 for about 7 hours... and i've got 2 battlepacks.
This really is pissing me off. The other day... wouldn't stay full screen no matter how i tried. Yesterday night i played.... worked like a dream... never left full screen once. Today, back to the way it was. GRR!
Selbstlader M1916 (any variant but Marksman will make close range ADS unwise, spam hipfire with that one up close) does pretty well at most ranges, but ideally you'll be supporting other team mates rather than playing as aggressively as Assault or Support as you're at a disadvantage against automatic weapons.

I always get the feeling I'm overcompensating bullet drop with the medic class atm.
Yeah the the razor software is junk and I always have it not installed its nice to see some hard numbers though as when i've told people that it makes the mouse feel like crap they just laugh. also the reason I only use the 2 lowest dpi settings as the higher ones tend to jitter. If I could find a logitech in the same shape as the abyssus and have the same lift off I'd happily change. On the medic guns, try the mon dragon, it's travel speed is crazy and you hardly have to lead even at medium range.
Yeah using that mon dragon now. Also, I think I found my issue now that I'm rank 3 medic: Iron sights aren't correctly centered OR don't react enough/correctly to recoil... and I know my iron sights back from BC2/BF3/BF4 xD I'm having a much easier time landing shots with the dot sights, recoil responds noticeable different compared to iron sights. Also, maybe the G Pro Logitech might suit you: http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/pro-gaming-mouse It's more aching to the newer Abyssus models though (since 2014): http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-abyssus-v2 Top side is a bit wider, but it has a sort of \_/ shape to it, so as you near the bottom it will be thinner. Same sensor as G900/G502/...
Regarding mice, I still love my Logitech G500s (and all its previous versions). I'm so pissed that for some reason Logitech dropped this old shape. I would have bought more samples if I knew this would happen. Anyway, it will probably die sooner rather than later, since I have it for a while. Now I'm looking at the new "Logitech PRO Gaming Mouse" too. Even though it's different shape, it looks solid and reliable. Anyone tried it?
