Many people pilot with controllers and switch to keyboard and mouse for infantry.

The comment isn't a cry for attention I'm just a little annoyed, I spent a lot of early BF4 trying to resolve issues for my friends and I. DICE never actually fixed the microstutter on the 6950 to this day :(

Alas today I'm having to do the same, my friend is bringing his PC round in a while and despite it being more or less the same rig as mine he gets 30FPS dips.

I've actually been trying to help many with issues (I made this on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefiel...performance_tips_for_pc_potentially_huge_fps/) and have been more than complimentary about the game so far. If you want to see actual cries for attention check the Battlefield forum, it's nothing but self-entitled idiots screaming.

Please, BF4 ran perfectly mine on my old Sapphire HD 6950 2GB.
    BF1 beta even ran well on a HD 7850 1gb, Phenom X6 1055t @ 3.5ghz with 8GB 1600.
CPU was pegged 100% in DX11, but was 85% in DX12 and was nearly butter smooth for a beta. I have not gotten to buy BF1 yet to test the game sadly, but I have a feeling it will run just fine.

BF4 always run just fine for me with small issues once and a while.

Shouldn't a stable system be able to run at 100% without crashing? I know mine will happily play BF1 for hours without any issues with all four core maxed.

Yeah, encountered this bug as well. Seems to be a fairly common toss up between the weapon being displayed in the wrong position and doing nothing. The weapon plain just not working at all or the weapon doing a never ending reload. All fixed if you cycle the weapon and only happens when you get revived.

Correct me if I am wrong but haven't ALL Bf games had issues with OC'd CPUs? I remember BF3 topics had a lot of people complaining about it.

Please what? Your 6950 was fine so the problem must be elsewhere? Please :wanker:

Gas in this game is so effective! Also happy there are less attachments!

They need to add some kind of an info message when you join on a friend from Origin and just sit there waiting for spot to appear on a server. I thought game was broken since i couldn't join manually and then suddenly it loaded!

Fair enough but comparing BF1 launch to BF4 launch isn't right, is it? That's what I was getting at.

BF4 was not playable for the masses on release. BF1 has had 9/10 all round. Not comparable IMO. Sorry to hear you are having issues I do hope you resolve them and get to play the game happily soon.

Anyone else bothered by the horrible sharpening filter they added to the TAA? It wasn't present in the beta.
The resolution scale option already does sharpen, so when you combine TAA with resolution scale it becomes way too sharp. It's especially noticeable on the forest map.

^That's parallax mapping, not blurred textures.

Ok, is it normal for it to look that low res?

    Cheers

Truly deserved! This is the best looking and best PC launch game! I can't even remember a game that have such an amazing performance at launch with such insane high graphic quality. DICE definitely get my developer of the year 2016!

One big TIPS! DO NOT open your battlepack during loading. Open ONLY when you at the main menu doing nothing. You have been warned! GLHF! :)

well it seems I've fixed my constant crash to desktops

I disabled my CPU overclock entirely, and walaa.. it works...

which is strange considering I played the beta and the trial and didn't have these crashes...

not sure what would cause them all of a sudden, not like I messed with the overclock on my CPU at all..

heck it's been perfectly stable at 4.5Ghz for more than a year,
runs Witcher 3, and all these other next-gen games just fine.

frostbite engine has always been good at finding unstable overclocks, not many game engines push both cpu and gpu so intensely and benchmarks are never a good sign of a fully stable OC.

not to mention that all the crashes on BF1 (CTDs)
report some nVidia driver module at fault.

It has zero issues 3 different rigs with pre crimson drivers, and old drivers.
Had zero issues overclocked and zero issues unlocked to a HD 6970.
    So yes, major please.
