How.. HOW THE FRICK is this problem not been fixed yet???

It's been many weeks now since this issue popped up and its still happening now.

Anyone else having issues downloading the 31gb patch that Activation said was going to be 15gb?

It's a piss take at this point. I can download other games like Overwatch and WoW just fine, Its only the Activision games that are having issues.

I feel your pain, got the same one myself.
Size of the patch could be due to misinformation from Activision, since my console mates only had to download 15GB.
PC Fixes could be the cullprit.

If your speed is low, try connecting to another server for the patch.
Change region, just below the info screens for the game, in the battle.net client.
Also, when the servers are getting hammered by the many requests, your download speed might take a dive.

All this makes it hard to enjoy the game, more so by the lobbys filled with high pingers and AFK's.
Even seen a few blantant cheaters.

delete the game data and reinstall, only way to fix it, theres inconsistent manifests that updating isn't goin to resolve.

deleting the game is of course not going to fix slow downloads.

blizzard uses p2p iirc, or did they stop that?
    try using cloudflare dns

Why are the updates for this game so large? It discourages me from playing it.

i have no answer, the game is 182 gb at the moment, and i fail to understand why, the assests and graphics are not close to bf5, that game looks better and performs better

I said I could not download the update, you said i had to uninstall to fix, I said it did not work and then you say it wont fix slow downloads? Are you special? A troll? Either way, go away.

Lucky for me I have a fast internet connection and can download that whole 190GB in less than an hour at full speed.

I said your "31GB that should have been 15GB" issue is fixed with the full re-download, you mentioned nothing about speed,

The only special thing that doubles as a troll is in your mirror, go take a look at it.

and no Karen, you cannot speak to the manager.

Is the activision launcher just slow at downloading always?

    *edit*

Never mind, searched battle.net slow at downloading, from the amount of results it does seem to be quite a wide spread problem.

I supsect the backend infrasturcture at Blizzard.
Offcourse, having to run and maintain so many different servers is a huge task.

He did say in first post "having issues downloading the update...".

It's safe to say from that it should be clear the size information is not the problem.

Read and understand the issue before giving advice. Though I would never delete a 190 GB game by anyone's suggestion.

As for Battle.net it literally made me stop playing Destiny 2 when the first big update kept failing to download.
    Actually to even start downloading.

Reinstalled the whole game, fixed, but then the next update failed again so uninstalled the game and Battle.net, not worth the effort.

No it isn't, given the known issues with COD patches involve the size being wrong and Karen specifically mentions sizes in the op.

Then you're a fool and going against Blizzard technical support advice.

I cant believe that this is still an issue!

Every patch thus far has failed to download until early hours of the morning the next day. The speed does not go up steadily, its at sub 1mb all day and then some time around 1am it just sky rockets to my connections max speed of 70mb/s

It does not seem like a network capacity issue or id expect to see the speed rise steadily and not just go from nothing to all the speed like it does.

Anyone else still stuck with slow or no downloads?

I can "trick" battle.net into download a little bit faster, 5-7mb/s but it wont stay there for long.

So, heres another day I wont be playing as there is no way in hell this is going to download anytime today....

ffs activition? blizzard? whoever, get your crap together!

    MHW pulled this with iceborne.

and like this the size of the update and the fact well the launch was a mess and the fact my game was pretty broken to boot i uninstalled the entire game 40 gig for an expansion i did not buy. larger than the base game.

learn to deploy updates and patches.
