Batman: Arkham Knight

Well Steam introduced their new refund policy at the right time. They'll be so many people asking for refunds.

 

Guess I am lucky. Played for a few hours (Only gameworks smoke disabled) and inside at 1440p I was averaging 100-120fps, outside was 60-90fps depending on where I was, and driving did drop to about 45fps at times. 6.4gb of vram usage though.

If they have played the game longer than the allotted time allowd, then they won't be getting a refund.

 

There are no hi-res textures. Also, fxaa is being used. That's why everything is blurred.

30 fps doesn't seem "pretty well" to me.

 

Anyone know what the XB1 version is like? As good as PS4?

Just installing the PS4 version now.

Interestingly, it's 48.5 GB in size, over 11 GB larger than the PC version. There is a Day One patch of 4 GB plus various DLC, including the Harley Quinn one (which I did not get with the PC version). There is also a PS4 exclusive Scarecrow DLC too. I even got a free Batman AK iPhone 6 and thumbgrips too for PS4. Quite a nice package all round but I really need a larger hard drive as even the 1.5 GB one I have installed is always full, hardly surprising when most console games are 40-50 GB these days.

 

Meh. All he's doing is yelling and saying "fu--" a lot.

And I think he's wrong. I have a TitanX and the game is running at the same framerate the PS4 is - locked 30 FPS (actually, 31). Never dips below as far as I can tell at 2560x1440.

I haven't tried unlocking it yet to see what my actual minimum frame rate is.

 

I've seen some footage of someone playing a walkthrough on YouTube and it looked pretty much identical to the PS4 version, though I noticed more screen tearing (the console versions both use adaptive v-sync but the PS4's stronger GPU understandably means it holds 30 FPS better and therefore tears less frequently).

 

Surprised nobody has yet to comment on the actual scale of the game. Remember this?

What do you guys think of the games map size?

 

Jokes man, utter jokes. I finally downloaded the bloody thing for the third time but now I'm downloading Mordor. Thought I might as well play a game that actually works.

This sorry state of PC gaming really infuriates me.

Who the f*ck locks a PC game at 30fps and thinks it's ok? Are these people mind f*cked?

 

Made it to Ace chemicals and after some trial & error with one of the doors and using Batman as a projectile I reached a pretty weird plot twist.

So Jokers infected blood is somehow mutated and making people into Jokers, including Batman since he was infected in Arkham City.

That's a odd way of bringing him back, in multiple versions too since there's four other infected besides Batman.

(It's not that far into the game but still a spoiler.)

 

There no reviews out AFAIK but I've seen some gameplay footage that looked great. As far as I could tell, it looked to be an experience on par with ps4.

 

If you're cool with 30 frames than that's cool, but I don't come to the PC to have a console like experience. Even with the 30 cap I'm getting mini stutters when traversing parts of the city.

 

Is anyone using MSI AB? I can't get OSD to show up in game.
