Don't you people think that's enough of batman already?
No. Rocksteady's Batman games are fantastic, I want more.
no more STEROID / BULKY character designs? PERFECT!
would be cool if it use new Unreal engine 4. but no
cant wait to see the driving. will it be like GTA or will it be very static.
Development started in 2011 so UE4 is out of the question.
Modified UE3 looks very good anyway.
However, there is a strong possibility that Warner Montréal is working on another Batman game powered by UE4.
Unreal Stuttering 3 again..
Rocksteady uses it's own Unreal Engine 3 branch. Which is probably far superior to the normal UE3.5 branch you find everywhere else.
So this should be fixed. It was already fixed in Arkham Origins actually. This game worked perfectly fine.
Yeah, it's the rarity that I encounter stuttering in an UE3 game anymore.
Probably why it surprised me so much in Thief... specially since it only does it in the HUB over-world.
But, Arkham Origins, BioShock: Infinite... Lost Planet 3, DisHonored, Borderlands 2...
The majority of the UE3 games I've played recently haven't stuttered.
I think we can all agree that the tighter environment in Asylum really lent itself well to the game and the way it flowed so neatly from one moment to the next. City is the true culprit of bringing that superfluous side to the series where so much of the world just felt tacked on what with all those god damn bright neon green lit aspects that ruined the true underlying mood of the game. Origins I feel incorporated things in a much more favourable manner and allowed the stark bleakness of the city to ring truer and not be pot marked with such visual vulgarities that seemed out of place as constant distractions, the gaming experience in turn I feel was all the better for this.
Going off the few pictures of Arkham Knight it looks like Rocksteady have seen sense in toning down these yet even further instead returning to a time when the main distraction is the city environment itself. At least I hope this will be the case.
I definitely agree.
I much prefer the style of Asylum's world over that of City's. The more "Metroid" layout of the world, gaining new equipment and revisiting old locations.
It also felt more believable because you were outside the city. The innocents you came across were the guards, doctors and scientists of the asylum who had been caught in the crossfire.
In City... there was none of that. Same in Origins, but for some reason in City is rang out more as a glaring "LOOK AT ME!" design issue.
As you said, Origins just felt more "together" then City did.
For those who didn't yet know...
I figured....will be a long wait!
I dont like the car, it looks like something HotWheels focus group came up with. Other than that, looks ok so far, though i do prefer Origins style of Gotham City, just need more people around. Though I guess it'd be to hard to make a city with the batmobile and civilians around as gamers would run over everybody which goes against Batman's MO and that right there may have been a DC decision similar to car manufactures that dont allow there cars to be damaged in some games.
Same here. And again I'll express my wish for Catwoman to return as well.
Catwomen was actually really cool in arkham city, though id like to see her made to resemble more of a real world female, rather than looking like an hour glass with legs wrapped in leather.
I don't think she looked that much different from some fitnessmodels, especially when she had a Halloween suit on, she even had some muscle on her. So to me she was more realistic than the most other charachters, but it's not like I want full realism either, as the games are better suited to be more fantasy than the movies.
Damn at those character models.
